What we’re about
We are a women's social group for women over 40, who want to enjoy the many events & venues in Kansas City, with friends of a similar age.
The Golden Rule is our basic tenet, "Treat others as you would like to be treated."
This group arose out of a post covid need to get out of the house & socialize, but turned into something much more. We have shared stories, traveled together, drank lots of wine & made lasting friendships. Many have joined & some have left. And so, it was my priveledge to take over it's sponsorship in Sept 2023. I welcome you & encourage you to attend & create events! This is your group.

The first Tuesday of each month, Upcycle Piano Craft hosts a happy hour concert in their showroom. FREE beverages and light snacks included (though make sure to tip the bartender - they take cash and Venmo).
The music starts at 4:30 and runs until around 6:30.

This month's show features a Gospel Choir.
I'll be there around 5:15 (feel free to go earlier). I'll hang out in the back right corner of the showroom, so you can find me (I'll have a "Meetup Group" sign).
Around 6:30, when the music ends, we can head to Westport for some dinner. Bistro 303 is nice and we can walk there (it's only 3 blocks from Upcycle). You are welcome to meet us for dinner around 6:45 if you can't make it to the show.
PARKING NOTE: Upcycle is on the east side of Main St, across from Westport Rd. There is parking on 40th St (south of Westport Rd) and there's a wedge-shaped parking lot in front of the store that you can access from 40th St.
Music details: Charles Williams on piano, Chris Hazelton on Hammond B3 organ, and a gospel choir led by Millie Edwards and Pat Brown-Dixon.
