Notice time change to launch at 10:30 am!
Please get there early enough to unload, park and use the restroom. We are in the water at 10:30am. This is an open bay so please know how to paddle with waves, wakes, wind etc and how to self/assist rescue.
We have been invited to the City Island Touring Kayak Club to have our lunch and a tour with Jerry. They have a lovely beach, deck, kitchen, kayak storage, lockers, bathrooms & showers. After, we can decide to circ City Is or go between City & Hart on our way back. Approximate distance 10+.
Sea kayaks must be at least 14 ft, no SOT'S, INFLATABLES, Surfski's OK. Please know how to assist/self rescue. PFD's must be worn, no PETS.
Please dress for immersion. Its still early in the season so please pack a change of clothes in a dry bag and bring with you. Dry/wet suits/skins highly recommended.

AFTER YOU GO THROUGH THE PARKING PAY STATION GO LEFT the at the end of the lot towards the exit for the kayak launch. Unload your boat and then park or bring wheels. The bathrooms are by the boardwalk (straight back in the parking lot to the right of the playground) go there 1st after entering and then proceed to the launch area. The beach doesn't officially open until May 27 so parking will be free.
Bring water, lunch, snacks anything you need for a day trip.
