Join if you want to meetup with others with shared interests. The adult public programs at Irvine include birding, foraging, gardening, hiking, herbalism, nature exploration and health and wellness based classes. There are free and paid classes. All skill levels welcome.

Nature Worx goes outside to go inside! This innovative, internationally recognized non-profit delivers nature-based experiential programs designed to help participants slow down, reduce stress, and access inner calm—while fully basking in the beauty and restorative power of the outdoors. This Fall at Irvine, Nature Worx will offer nature immersion programs grounded in mindfulness, evidence-based practices, and the belief that nature is a powerful source of healing, growth, and personal transformation. These 90-minute sessions include guided experiences that incorporate sensory awareness, nature observation, reflection and mindful movement. You may experience nature in a way you never have before! Wrap up with a 30-minute gentle yoga session with Irvine’s Animal Care Manager and Environmental Educator, Mallory Mlynarek. Ideal for ages 18+.

Join long-time Qigong certified practitioner, instructor and friend to Irvine, Mary Pinkard for an all-skill-levels-welcome Qigong session followed by an outdoor walk, using Qigong practices, on an Irvine forested path. Participants will use Qigong mind-body techniques to emphasize deep breathing, open energy pathways, and foster a profound mind-body connection in order to access peace and wellness within. For adults who can walk and move for up to 60 minutes. This event will be held rain or shine. No prior experience needed. All are welcome.

In the first half of this workshop, participants will be a part of an outdoor session delving into the ancient practice of Qigong–engaging in moving meditations that emphasize deep breathing, opening energy pathways, and fostering a profound mind-body connection. In the second part, participants will relax deeply on their mats immersing themselves in the transformative vibrations and resonant frequencies and tones of singing bowls, drums, and chimes. Together, the practices of Qigong and the auditory journey of Sound Immersion will inspire energy balance, reduce stress, and create harmony within the body, mind, and spirit. This event is ideal for ages 18+. No prior experience needed. All are welcome. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAT/BLANKET AND SUPPORT PILLOW FOR BOTH PORTIONS OF THIS WORKSHOP. THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE!
