We will start hiking from Rüsselsheim Bahnhof towards East, straight into the forest surrounding Frankfurt Airport (FRA) walk along its southern flank, cut through Zeppelinheim, along Waldstadion, along the Main South Bank, cross Friedensbrücke and finish our hike at Frankfurt Main Station. There we will reward ourselves with a celebratory dinner at a restaurant. Since we will be hiking along the southern perimeter of FRA, there's an opportunity for plane spotting.

Please make sure to wear hiking gear, a hat, and carry supplies. This is an advanced hike.

Model Airfield Fest ✈️

Let’s head out to a beautiful model airfield just outside Frankfurt for their annual festival!

Set in a wonderful location with fantastic views across Frankfurt and the surrounding countryside, this is a great chance to enjoy a relaxed day outdoors and see something a little different.

Expect lots of amazing model aircraft, impressive flying displays, and plenty to see on the ground. And of course, there’ll be the usual German grill, snacks, coffee and cake to keep us fuelled throughout the day. 🇩🇪🍖☕️

Whether you’re already into model aviation or have never seen these aircraft in action, it should be a really fun and interesting day out.

Let’s go enjoy this wonderful place, watch some great flying, grab some food and spend a very nice day together! 😊✈️🌳

Kickoff the Oktoberfest season with us!

Join us on Saturday, 19 September, from 8:00 p.m. open end for a relaxed evening of networking, meeting new people, and enjoying the special atmosphere by the Main.

Join us for a beautiful late summer evening, one of Frankfurt’s most renowned venues, as it welcomes the InterNations network for a special Kick off Oktoberfest Evening Party. Traditional Bavarian outfits are very welcome and optional as this is not a traditional Oktoberfest event, but we will bring a touch of Oktoberfest flair to the evening. We will also have a photographer to capture your best moments!

We will enjoy the charming Sommer Garten, seated among olive trees and lush greenery, while taking in the ever-changing spectacle of the sky, the seagulls, and the water. Ships will drift along the River Main as we enjoy the spectacular view of the Westhafen.

The place is also full of history and character. In 1921, the Expressionist painter Max Beckmann created his painting The Nice in Frankfurt am Main, inspired by this special place. Today, the impressive glass building offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Main River, the perfect setting for a relaxed and elegant summer gathering.
