Details:
October 2025 adventure in North Carolina, 8th to the 31st.
Flight to state capital Raleigh - 6 days, cycling and sightseeing. 🚴‍♂️
Drive to Wilmington on Cape Fear coast - 4 days, beaches and old town.
Drive to Charlotte - 4 days in largest city, parks, music and Southern cuisine. 😋
Drive to Asheville - 6 days, gateway to Blue Ridge mountains and Cherokee homelands. 🌄🛶
Return to Raleigh - 2 days to unwind for flight back to Manchester.

Highlights:
Cycling the Neuse River and Walnut Creek trails.
Raleigh and Charlotte city life. Wilmington old town and WW2 Battle ship tour.
Blue Ridge mountains and glorious autumn colours.
Walking/Hiking with Charlotte and Asheville Meet-up groups

Feel free to join me for this beautiful and interesting walk, we will be covering around ten miles, over and around ladybower reservoir, taking in ‘lost lad’ and the ‘wheel stones’ (optional scrambling)

Feel free to join us for a walk of around 🤔 11 miles in this beautiful area, bring a packed lunch or grab something from the NT cafe, it’s always a great day out, toilets at start, pub at end 👍

Last chance to make the most of the daylight before the clocks go back on this 11 - 12 mile linear walk in the heart of Bronte country.

Walk will take in Bronte Falls, Top Within and Hardcastle Crags to Hebden bridge bus station. We’ll then catch the scenic Bronte bus back to Haworth 🚌 😃 Bus is every hour, £2.50 fare. Finish time is only approximate due to bus journey.

Meeting point is Brontë Parsonage museum. There are a few car parks in Haworth, more details to be confirmed.

Should the weather be awful we’ll do Dave’s Bronte circular walk instead.
