On wednesday 20th August, Sail 2025 starts with the Sail in Parade. Sail happens every 5 years, but the last time was 10 years ago.
An impressive fleet of tallships from over the whole world, naval vessels, innovative vessels willnsail from Ijmuiden via Noordzeekanaal to the Ijhaven in Amsterdam. Thousands of spectators, including us will will be watching this from the shore.

To beat some trafgic and find hopefully a good spot we leave early..
We plan to take the 10:39 train from Spoor 7A at Amsterfam Central and arive at Zaandam station 10:52. We can wait for 15 minutes at zaandam station for other people to join us there. From zaandam station it's a 30/45 minutes walk to the Kanaalkade. There we will try to find a good spot.

What to bring:
Rain protection, sun protection. your own food and drinks, and your camera ofcourse. If you have one: also bring binoculars.

Join us for a special 3-hour group hike through Hilversum’s breathtaking heather fields in full bloom. There’s plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, chat, and take beautiful photos. This event might get cancelled if the weather is too bad!

You can join us from Amsterdam central station (08:41 platform 15b) or meet us at Hilversum Mediapark at 9:15. Make sure to be in our whatsapp community to get live updates!

This is a casual hike, it won't be as planned as our general hike. The goal is to explore and have fun.

⏳ Duration: ~3 hours with a group, max 4h. Perfect if you also want to head to the SAIL event afterwards or have other plans that day.
🌿 Why join? Experience the magical purple landscapes (only possible till mid september!), connect with fellow nature lovers, and enjoy a peaceful, refreshing start to your day.

Get ready for a fun, laid-back afternoon with awesome people from different communities around Amsterdam! This community is participating in the monthly XXL picnic in Oosterpark! This edition will be the last one this year, so it's now or never!

Every community adds something to the event, so we are organising City Walk before the picnic. Join us from Amsterdam Central Station to walk to Oosterpark. It’s a great way to explore the city, take some pictures and warm up for the social vibes ahead. Before heading to the park, we go to a supermarket to grab some drinks and food for the picnic. Our citywalk is always around 1,5-2 hours!

What to expect at the picnic:

• Bring your own drinks & snacks
• Jam session for musicians bring your instrument!
• Play fun games (You can bring your cards, sport equipment etc) or just relax in the grass
• A Philosophy corner. Deep topics only!
• Language exchange. Time to practice your Dutch or any other language!
• Most importantly, meet new people and connect across communities

Details:

• City walk meetup: 2pm at Amsterdam Central Station.
• Picnic start time: 3pm at Noorderpark ( Live location will be shared in WhatsApp group, so make sure to be on it.)
• What to bring: Drinks, snacks, picnic blanket, games, instrument (if you play), and your good vibes!
• This meetup will get crowded (100+ people)! If you would like a smaller group, come early, before the majority arrives (usually little later). After the meetup, people go for dinner or party.

Join us for an evening photowalk as we explore the quieter side of Amsterdam! A photowalk is different from a citywalk! We will stop a lot to take pictures, so keep this in mind.

We’ll meet at Amsterdam Centraal Station and take the Buiksloterweg ferry across the IJ into Noord. From there, we’ll make a circular walk (about 10 km) through creative streets, industrial area and green spaces, perfect for photography and meeting fellow enthusiasts.
