Hike With Us Colorado

***5am on Saturday MEET in parking lot at safeway parking lot on w. Colorado ave to carpool to Woodland Park to the trailhead

14er #3. This is a very challenging 14 mile out and back trail that has over 4, 000 ft elevation gain and features fantastic views. Hike back is 14 miles or ride back is about 7 mile (PRE-PLAN needed, text me at 719-210-7070). May be windy and cold at the summit.

Animals: Friendly and manageable dogs are OK but not recommended because long day and high altitude

Trail conditions: Snow expected at the summit. Hiking poles required. Micro spikes are recommended.

***NEEDED: WATER, hiking boots, hat, sunglasses, gloves, balaclava, foot and hand warmers, spikes, sunscreen, first aid kit, and snacks/drinks to share. Hiking poles will most likely be needed.

*** This is an easy beautiful 5ish mile hike with great views abd beautiful rocks!

***MEET in parking lot at Safeway to carpool to the trailhead off Old Stage Rd.

*** Looking for volunteer Drivers with 4 wheel drive vehicle. I will vet both the vehicle and the driver, as we may cut down in the hiking distance by driving the first 1/3 of the trail. Beginner drivers may not tolerate the trail features.

This is a VERY challenging 15+ mile out and back trail that features jaw dropping views and about 2800 ft elevation gain.

*** 4 wheel drive vehicle needed to get to trailhead

*** Please note the rating: hard and DO NOT sign up for this hike unless you are able to do it. You may be asked to provide evidence of preparedness or asked to reconsider this hike to "qualify" your safe participation.

***High altitude warning: be in appropriate physicalcondition for this altitude and if you have a medical conditions that presents increased risks at high altitude, please decline this hike.
