Come hang out, discover new music, and share some of your favorite electronica tracks with fellow enthusiasts!

Each attendee will have up to 10 minutes to play music for the group (we can play music off of my laptop if needed). Your selection can be 2–3 songs, or however you'd like to use your time within the 10-minute limit. This is a chance to introduce others to artists, albums, or tracks you think deserve to be heard.

What counts as electronica?

For this meetup, we're focusing on electronica as a broad, listening-oriented genre of electronic music. Electronica often emphasizes atmosphere, melody, texture, and experimentation. It can include styles such as ambient, downtempo, chillout, trip-hop, and other expressive electronic music.

While there's some overlap between electronica and other genres such as techno and dubstep, these are generally more focused on repetitive rhythms and dancefloor-oriented club music. If you're deciding between tracks, lean toward music that fits the broader electronica tradition rather than music primarily intended for a club or rave setting.

Meetup etiquette

To make this enjoyable for everyone, please give each person's music your full attention while it's being played. Avoid talking over the music or holding side conversations during someone else's turn.

Location

Please note the location will be my apartment, and that I live close to the Crepevine location listed in Meetup. I'll share my address to those attending about a week before the event.

Join us for a relaxed morning of good conversation, fresh pastries, and a scenic hike up Bernal Heights Park!

We'll start by meeting at Arizmendi Bakery to grab coffee and pastries before heading out together for a walk to the top of Bernal Heights Park. The hike is short but rewarding, with panoramic views of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Notes:

• Please arrive on time so we can leave together after meeting at the bakery. We'll wait until 9:45am for any late arrivals before heading out.
• We'll keep a relaxed pace and make sure no one gets left behind.
• Doggos welcome.

Join us for a relaxed evening of great conversation and delicious Middle Eastern food at Freekeh in San Francisco!

This will be a family-style meal, meaning we’ll order a selection of dishes for the table and share everything together—perfect for trying a little bit of it all and encouraging good conversation. Whether you're new to Middle Eastern cuisine or already a fan, this is a great opportunity to enjoy good food and meet new people in a welcoming setting.

Some notes:

• We’ll split the bill evenly among attendees
• Everyone is welcome to order one drink, which will be included in the split; please note that, even if you choose not to get a drink, you'll still be expected to split the bill evenly

This meetup is all about enjoying good food, sharing plates, and having a relaxed, social evening. Come hungry and ready for a communal dining experience!

Note RSVPs will open the week of the event on a first-come-first served basis, so please be sure to attend if you sign up.

Looking to meet others in the ethical non-monogamy (ENM) community? Join us for a fun, relaxed evening of conversation, connection, and community.

Whether you're experienced with ENM, just beginning your journey, or simply curious, everyone’s welcome. This event is for throuples, swingers, folks in open relationships, and everyone in this non-monogamy spectrum! Note that Judith Esmee (from the “Attending” list) and I are looking for a female unicorn.

Some miscellaneous notes:

• This is a social gathering focused on meeting people and building community—not a dating event; do not join expecting sex.
• Be respectful of everyone; no means no.
• This is for folks ages 30 to 50.
• Everyone will be first placed on the waitlist, and I’ll start moving folks to the Attending list little by little as the event shapes up.
• I’m aiming to have an approximately equal number of men and women attending the event: if fifteen women sign up, then fifteen men will be moved to the Attending list, or if seven women sign up, then just seven men will be moved to the Attending list, etc.
• You can bring a romantic plus one/two.
• To be moved to the Attending list, your profile picture must show your face.
• The venue is going to be in downtown San Francisco walking distance from a MUNI station, and I will share the address with attendees about a week before the event (not disclosing publicly in Meetup to avoid party crashers); you will need ID to enter the venue.
• You'll have to provide your phone number when you RSVP; if Meetup doesn't show you a prompt for your phone number, just shoot me a message with the info.
• Dress like you were going on a nice indoor date, but do brings layers for the cold, just in case.
