Harrisonburg Meet Up

We are partnering with the folks at Walkabout Outfitter and Sage Bird Ciderworks to add some activities to the Harrisonburg Meet Up rotation. Join us for a group hike to High Knob in PEAK LEAF COLOR SEASON and a post-hike social at the Sage Bird taproom!

Departure: Leave from Walkabout at 12:30pm
FYI: Carpooling is encouraged from Walkabout. Our goal is to have an enjoyable, casual hike; not to set any speed records!

Rough Distance: 2.5 miles
Elevation Change: +/-1,400 ft.
Terrain: Mostly single-track w/ some sections wider than others. Breathtaking panoramic views.

GEAR NOTES

If you need any gear for the hike we're happy to get you outfitted; Walkabout opens at 10am! Sturdy hiking shoes, lightweight clothing (avoid cotton), and trekking poles are encouraged. Bring snacks and water for the hike.
HAPPY HOUR

Afterwards, we will meet at Sage Bird for Post-Hike Happy Hour to enjoy delicious food & drink! Although, it’ll be determined by the group, we will likely be at Sage Bird by 4pm or 5pm. Enjoy Sage Bird's regular Sunday Wine Down with 50% off glasses of wine from open bottles, and hikers get a special happy hour of 10% off flatbreads & panini.

We will be hosting a new Harrisonburg Meet Up session at the top of each hour (1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm) on Saturday, October 25 at Glo Fiber booth (corner of S Main St and E Market St). Meet and mingle with new connections and then head out and enjoy the rest of the festivities happening across Downtown Harrisonburg.
