What we’re about
The Happy Wanderers Walking Club is based in Port Orange, Florida, near Daytona Beach. We offer Fun, Fitness, & Friendship through planned non-competitive fitness activities including (primarily) walking, swimming, cycling and other social activities. We meet routinely on Wednesdays and Sundays for Group Walks of our 19 permanent events - with 16 walks, 2 bike trails and 1 swim venue across Volusia and the neighboring Counties - on the Atlantic coast from St. Augustine to Cocoa Beach and west to DeLand, Sanford and Mt. Dora. We also hold special events in local Communities, Florida State Parks and along our beaches.
The Happy Wanderers are a registered 501c.(3) non-profit corporation and a member club of the American Volkssporting Association (AVA) - with about 160 clubs, 1,800+ trails and thousands of participants in all 50 states.

HW Fun Walk - Beachcomber Park - Daytona Beach Shores
Beachcomber Park, 2608 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach Shores, FL, USCHANGE IN LOCATION!! F. Rendon Park is closed for repairs, so we'll move to BEACHCOMBER PARK - 2608 S. Atlantic. Ave. -- where we met after Hurricane IAN. (This is .3 miles north and on the opposite side of A1A.)
Join the Happy Wanderers for a WED evening beach walk! This is a group walk of club members and MeetUp participants. It is a non-competitive walk with the group or at your own the pace - for fun or for fitness! The group will complete around 3 miles in roughly an hour, Wear appropriate footwear, sunscreen, and carry water as needed.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Look for a group gathering and the large green club banner with Happy Wanderers logo!
NOTE: Parking in Volusia County Beach Parking requires you register your car with the County: Park Volusia - Beach Parking, Permits, and Citations in Volusia County, FL, or pay $20 per visit! There is NO COST for Volusia County residents if you register.
The walk is open to the public and newcomer's are Welcome!! There is No Cost for this event.
