What we’re about
What's the purpose of the group?
Our aims are:
- To build a group of friends
- Enjoy adventures (ie: new opportunities with cool people)
- Pursue social good, such as through supporting local charities
We seek to be collaborative and member-led in all we do, and look forward to seeing what brilliant ideas everyone has for great events 🤩
Who should join? 🤔
- We're chilled, don't take things too seriously, and like to have fun!
- We have an age restriction. I've previously ran all-age groups and found that some older people felt excluded at events. For an all-age community, check out GFM.
- We are intentionally limiting how big this group becomes, recognising that other groups fulfil this function.
This group is for anyone aged 18-45 in the Guildford area (and nearby - I'm in Godalming myself!) that likes the sound of these vibes and would like to be part of the fun.
We'll develop friendships, have adventures, and do social good. Basically, pubs, board games, laser quest, air hop... whatever we happen to come up with :)
What are your rules?! 📄
As users on the Meetup platform, we seek to abide by the Meetup Groups and Events Policies:
https://help.meetup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002897712-Meetup-groups-and-events-policies ✅
This document is pretty long, so in the words of immortal philosophers Bill and Ted: 'Be excellent unto each other'. 🤘
One additional rule. Please don't direct message (DM) anyone that you don't know. This includes this app, WhatsApp and popular communication platforms such as MySpace, AOL, MSN, and Bebo. 📥
You are also forbidden from sending unsolicited carrier pigeons and/or letters in bottles. 🕊️🍼
Help! I'm outside the age bracket and/or want a bigger group!

We are non-competitive 😊
We take a non-competitive stance towards other Meetup groups and encourage all members to take part in other groups and actively encourage their growth. Let's all support each other ✌️☮️
How do you pay for this?! Doesn't running a Meetup cost money?!
There is no charge for this group. However, if you appreciate it and would like to contribute towards it's continuation, we encourage you to donate £1 here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/GuildfordMeetup
