What we’re about
We have several event organizers that host variations of mostly Greenway riding in the Triangle of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill which includes Cary. Some events have a focus on Fitness; other rides focus on Enjoying the Outdoors or Socials on Bike. Other Meetup groups are more appropriate for competitive racing cyclists. We like cycling for many different reasons and want to share riding opportunities on safe and comfortable routes. Average ride speeds may vary from 10 mph to 15 mph and in range from 10 to 40 miles; these will be specified in the event description.
Participants accept responsibility for their own safety by joining an event. We require participants to wear a properly fitting helmet and carry a form of identification. If rides are during dawn, dusk or night, serious lights are required. Participants need to supply their own water and carry replacement bike tubes. We do not promise to have a mechanic or even someone handy at changing a flat tire, but we will assist as best we can. We will not subdivide a group into smaller than three people in the event a participant needs assistance with a mechanical or medical issue. Should you become unconscious during a ride we will attempt to call an ambulance. Anyone desiring or needing to leave an event in progress is asked to advise the event organizer. Anyone who leaves an event in progress without telling any organizer or group leader may be assumed to be a missing person and reported as such. Anyone leaving an event in progress without checking out with a leader may be dropped from the group.
A bad day biking is better than a good day at the office. Peace be the Journey.

See all- American Tobacco TrailMezcalito bar and grill (apex), Apex, NC
We'll try to keep cool with a shaded tour of the American Tobacco Trail (southern portions), plus a bit of White Oak Creek Greenway (also shaded). Start/finish at Mezcalito, 3675 Green Level West Rd, Apex NC. Restrooms available at trailheads along the way. The ATT has a firm-packed, stone-dust surface. It can be ridden with a road bike, but having at least 32mm tires will provide more stability. The route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51382184 After the ride: mezcalitogrill.com
