🌅🥾 Sunset Hikes: Fireflies at Cibolo Creek Trail (Universal City) 🥾🌅
Universal City Veterans Park, 737 E Aviation Blvd, Universal City, TX, USLet’s make Tuesdays our nature reset.
Join us for a peaceful evening hike through the Cibolo Creek Primitive Trail, starting from Veterans Park. The trail is mostly flat, with a few rocky sections, and is well-shaded for a comfortable walk.
🌳 The trail offers a blend of dirt paths and rocky spots, with plenty of natural charm.
🌆 We’ll start before sunset, giving us enough time to enjoy the cooler temps while still catching that evening glow.All experience levels welcome! Whether you’re a regular hiker or just looking to unwind after a long day, this trail is perfect for everyone. Come solo, bring a friend, or make new connections. Let’s keep the Tuesday evening hiking tradition going! 🌅
📍 Where: Veterans Park Trailhead, Universal City (737 E Aviation Blvd, Universal City, TX 78148)
📍 Meeting Point: Veterans Park Trailhead sign behind the playground.

⚠️ Terrain: Mostly flat, some rocky areas — wear proper shoes
⚠️ Difficulty: Easy, smooth and beginner-friendly.

🦊 Comanche Lookout Park Walk 🦋🪻
Semmes Library, 15060 Judson Road, San Antonio, TX, USAgenda:
6:30 PM: Meet at the library entrance.
6:40 PM: Departure for the Comanche Lookout Park trail.
8:30 PM: Back at the library.What to Expect:
A steady climb on the paved and mostly tree-shaded trails to the highest point of the Comanche park (highest natural vantage point in the city!). We will spend some time (around 10 minutes) at the summit to enjoy the panoramic views and chat before we head back down.In my previous visits to this park, I have spotted local wildlife like deer, rabbits, foxes and even a cayote! Let's see if we can spot more together!

Walking Distance: ~2.3 miles total.
Active Walking Time:~ 60 minutes.
Average Speed: 2.3 mph (slow).
Steps: ~4,650 steps.
Elevation: We'll climb to a peak of 1,340 feet. Expect an elevation gain of roughly 130 feet on the way up.Note: During or after rain, some areas in Comanche Lookout park trails get very muddy and slippery. It's hard to avoid, so wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty and with good traction!
