Join us for a peaceful evening hike through the Comanche Lookout Park, starting from Semmes Branch Library 📚. The trail is mostly shaded 🌳 with a gradual incline leading to one of the highest points in San Antonio, offering a gorgeous panoramic view of the city🌅.
🌳 The trail winds through native trees and brush, with chances to spot 🦊 foxes, 🦌 deer, 🐇 rabbits, and even 🦅 hawks overhead. At the top of the hill, there are places to sit and enjoy the view 🌄, making it the perfect midweek recharge.
🌆 We’ll meet in the evening giving us enough time to enjoy the cooler temps and take in the view from the hilltop.
All experience levels welcome! Whether you’re a regular hiker or just looking to unwind after a long day, this trail is perfect for everyone. Come solo, bring a friend, or make new connections. Let’s keep the Tuesday evening hiking tradition going! 🌅
📍 Where: Semmes Branch Library (15060 Judson Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247)

🕒 Duration: ~1.5 hours
⚠️ Terrain: Gradual inclines with gravel and paved sections.
⚠️ Difficulty: Easy to moderate – short hill climb, otherwise smooth and beginner-friendly.
🧭 Pace: ~2.7 mph (steady but social)
🐶 Dog Policy: Leashed dogs welcome
🚰 Amenities – Water fountains, benches, easy parking, restrooms inside library.

- Sturdy walking shoes.
- Water.
- (Recommended) Long sleeves/pants or bug spray
- (Recommended) A flashlight or headlamp.
- (Recommended) Jacket in case it gets cold
- (Required) Your adventurous spirit!
