About us
Getting together in and around Godalming to meet new people, enjoy local events, and support the town’s pubs, cafés, venues, festivals, artists and community activities.
We’re a friendly, relaxed social group with events including drinks, meals, pub quizzes, live music, comedy, walks, festivals, day trips and the occasional jaunt a little further afield.
Whether you’re new to the area, a long-standing Godhelmian (or 'Minger!), or simply looking to widen your social circle locally, you’re very welcome. Lots of people come along on their own, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone yet.
The group is open to adults of all ages. The main aim is simple: enjoy life, meet good people, support local places, and make some great memories.
We occasionally run joint events with nearby groups, including Guildford Friendly Meetup, especially for larger events, festivals and days out - but our focus remains very much on Godalming and the surrounding area.

Godalming Music in the Park feat. The Nefarious Picaroons
Godalming Bandstand, The Burys, GU7 1DY, Godalming, GBSummer is fast approaching and so is the Godalming Music in the Park. Now celebrating 20 years of live music!
Every Sunday from May to September we'll have a mixture of local bands and tribute acts to enjoy while sat on the grass. So be sure to a picnic or enjoy refreshments available at nearby stalls.The full lineup is available here, but I'll update upcoming events with the band details.
The event is free to attend but donations are encouraged to keep these events going.

Godalming Duck Race and Fair
Godalming Bandstand, The Burys, GU7 1DY, Godalming, GBEnjoy what could be the last days of summer with a series of duck races along the river in Godalming and a chance of cash prizes. All arranged by The Rotary Club of Godalming Woolsack to supporting local charities.
The first race starts at 12 noon, with heats every 20 minutes before the Grand Final. Heat winners receive £20, with Grand Final prizes of £250, £100 and £50.
Tickets are £1 and can be bought in local pubs before the event, or in the park on the day. There were also be stalls selling food and drink.
