What we’re about
The Gleeful Meeple are a group of social people who want to meet new friends and play games with them. New to board games? No problem. We're happy to teach. Our events can and may pop up just about anywhere (primarily local breweries, cool huh?) Our most popular events are board gaming events, where all attendees are welcome to bring their favorite games to play with us and our hosts will bring a bag of their own for you to enjoy as well. We may be board game group, but we’re so much more. We host tabletop RPG events, trivia nights, escape games, kickball, disc golf, and always looking for new ways to play.
All ages are welcome and encouraged, families included.

It’s Gleeful Meeple's 2nd Annual Memorial Day Picnic! This event is completely open to the public – a great opportunity to enjoy some outdoor fun and games with family and friends new and old.
We’ve reserved the Mission Shelter right on the lake in the middle of Shelby Park with lots of space for all the games and food! It's the Mission Picnic Pavilion in Shelby Park, near the southwest end of Sevier Lake.

https://maps.nashville.gov/NashvilleParksFinder/?parkFeatureID=701What can you bring? Well, we're glad you asked. Attendees are encouraged to bring any outdoor games or indoor games that could survive outdoors (consider the wind!) plus any food/picnic item to contribute to the noms.
Other things you may consider bringing along include: outdoor chairs, water, sunscreen, bug spray, extra water, and; if you have one to spare... card tables!
Limited Parking is available right by the shelter but feel encouraged to drop off anything before finding additional parking nearby.

For those new to Gleeful Meeple Events: GM Nashville is an all-inclusive social gaming (tabletop, outdoor, trivia, etc.) community created to help people in Nashville make friends and support local businesses. Everyone is always welcome, kids included (unless otherwise specified.) GM members are warm and welcoming of all newcomers. No Experience Necessary.
We're bringing our big ol' bags of games, but please feel free to bring your own to play as well. We don't discriminate, we have board games, card games, dice games, roll and writes, strategy games and party games. The most important part, new friends to meet and play games with.

RPG Day is back! Come out and play your favorite RPG or find a new system you've been wanting to try! RPG day is an event where GMs run one shots for various systems for all levels of experience to enjoy. Don't worry if you've never played an RPG before, our GMs are ready to teach you all you need to know. Don't own dice? No problem! We'll have plenty of extras on hand so don't let that hold you back.
We will have sign ups for the first four spots in our games. We will have extra spots for "walk ups". We will get everyone into a game, but we can't guarantee the game you're playing in unless you sign up.
Please, only sign up if you know that you can attend. If you are unable to make it, please let us know so we can open the spot back up.
