Gather And Go Friends Group

Come meet some good people every week whether you are newbie in town or long-term locals. Get some exercise and great conversations. This is a rain or shine event.
We will start at the parking strip in the middle of the park, next to a honey bucket and the Carkeek Pump Station/CSO Treatment Facility. We will then hike from the south ridge trail toward the south bluff then down the bridge to the beach (at about 6.30 pm). Enjoy the sunset and occasionally a thrilling train chase before heading up back on the trail. This time to the north bluff, down the Grand Fir trail and return to the parking spot, completing a loop of ~ 2.8 miles and about 400 ft elevation gain at about 7.10 pm (see the photo for map). We will then meet at a nearby restaurant to socialize and enjoy some food (between 7.15-8.30 pm). Recently we have picked Thai Siam at 8305 15th Ave NW or Yanni's Greek restaurant 7419 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle as the dinner spot.
If you are late and can not make the hike, please send a comment to the event in advance. Please note that hosts do NOT check messages while hiking. We may reply to your messages when we are done with the loop.

For over 37 years, OSL Serves has shown up every single day with hot, nourishing meals for people experiencing homelessness and hunger across our region. What started as 30 organic lunches handed out on a street corner has grown into 7,000 meals served daily — reaching shelters, tiny house villages, veterans programs, elder care, and people living directly on the streets.

When you step into the OSL kitchen, you're not just chopping vegetables — you're helping provide stability, dignity, and warmth to neighbors who need it most.

📅 Event details
- Time: 12pm
- Location: OSL Kitchen

👗 What to wear
- Comfortable, kitchen-appropriate clothing
- No tank tops, crop tops, or above-the-knee shorts
- Closed-toe shoes only — no sandals or open-toed footwear

💇 Hair & beard
- Long hair must be tied back — bun, ponytail, braid, hat, or scarf
- Beards longer than 1 inch require a beard net
- ✅ OSL will provide hairnets and beard nets — no need to bring your own!

🌸 Scent-free zone
- Please arrive without perfume, cologne, or aerosol deodorant
- Unscented or roll-on deodorant is totally fine
- This keeps our kitchen comfortable and welcoming for all

🔒 Leave valuables at home
- Please don't bring anything valuable that can't be kept on your person during your shift

🚌 Getting here
- Plenty of free, non-metered street parking nearby
- Accessible by public transit / bus

You're Invited to Paint & Sip! 🎨🍷

Join us for an evening of creativity, laughter and good vibes as we gather to paint, sip, and make memories together.

Many of us spend our days in spreadsheets, code, meetings and problem solving. We're in our heads, optimizing and analyzing.

But tonight? Tonight we're giving ourselves permission to create and to explore that side of our brains that doesn't need to be productive or perfect. Creativity isn't just for artists and it can be fun!

Be sure to arrive early to secure your seats as the event is open seating

What to Expect:
• All art supplies provided (canvas, paints, brushes & more)
• Professional artist guidance for beginners and seasoned painters alike.
• Bring your own snacks or have food delivered
• Great company and even better conversation
• A masterpiece to take home

RSVP Accountability: 3 no-shows will result in removal. Cancelling less than a week from the event is considered a no-show.
