Stewardship volunteer days mean life or death to many parts of many preserves. They are a great way to get exercise, have fun, learn something new and make a real and rewarding difference. Come to see for yourself.

Are you looking to get outdoors, connect with other nature-minded people, and take a personal role in healing an ecosystem in need?
The Cary Prairies need you!
Gravel hill prairies are home to some of the rarest plants and animals in the state, but without people to help care for them, they're getting smaller every year.
Encroachment by invasive species threatens the rich diversity of life at Sands Main Street Prairie, one of the few surviving gravel hill prairies in Illinois.
Together we can reverse the tide!
Join in on Saturday, October 11th from 10am - noon at Sands Main Street Prairie. We'll learn about the site and what it takes to save its future, gather native seeds and knock back invasive brush!
Meet new friends and begin to plan, lead and organize together. Nature needs you!
