Are you facing fear, feeling disconnected from your instincts, second-guessing yourself, or knowing what you want but not acting on it?

In this transformative Somatics series, we'll discover how true self-trust begins in the body, not in the mind.
Modern neuroscience confirms what many traditional wisdom practices have long taught: our bodies process information and make decisions before our conscious minds are even aware. Yet, many of us have learned to override these vital signals, replacing body wisdom with our own versions of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and chronic stress & self-doubt.

Through a blend of practical exercises and guided somatic experiences, we'll explore how our nervous system shapes our decision-making processes and how childhood adaptations became today's survival strategies. Most importantly, we'll learn to rebuild trust in our body's signals—creating a foundation for authentic confidence that does not depend on the external world.

This series runs April 27th thru May 25th (no session on May 11th.)
It combines breathwork, somatic practices, partner work, and personal reflection to create a comprehensive learning experience accessible to all levels. No prior experience with somatic work is necessary. Every Body is Welcome.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable clothing that allows for gentle movement
• Journal for reflection
• Water bottle
• Optional: A small personal object that represents self-trust to you

The password for this event is "Old." We are reading the Old Testament chronologically, and the current plan is to try to insert the Apocrypha wherever they would go, chronologically, when we can determine it. The last time we read the Old Testament, it took us almost exactly 2 years, reading for an hour each Sunday. Including the Apocrypha will make it take a bit longer this time. We are reading from the New Living Translation. You are welcome to bring your favorite translation and read from it, or just listen to the rest of us reading. We will just be glad to have you with us! My only plea is that we not argue. We are just reading and enjoying, please.

Come sit in group silence to meditate, contemplate or whatever calls you.

Structure (shown in minutes past the hour since there are different time zones)

• :00 Please enter our space muted. As much as we like to be friendly and acknowledge each other, please do so with a smile and wait until 20 mins past the hour for any speaking.
• :01 Sit in silence and stillness for 15 minutes. Leaving your camera on is encouraged unless you know you cannot be reasonably still (e.g., if you are moving about or eating breakfast please turn your camera off while doing so)
• :16 Coming back, we continue in silence for a few more minutes. We encourage you to turn your camera on unless you know you can't be reasonably still.
• :20 Optional sharing of individual reflections on today's silence that contribute to the group's purpose. For instance: “I tried a new prompt where the only thing to think about is ‘I wonder what my next thought will be’ and it was really helpful” or “I started out feeling very distracted by the birds my roof, but I was able to reframe the irritation into an appreciation of how wonderful It is to be this close to nature” or “I hadn't done a body scan meditation in a while and I forgot how powerful it can be.”
• :25 Optional casual conversation begins (feel free to stay and chat for as long as you want.)

A few reminders:

1. Please mute yourself when you join - we will begin the silence at 10:01 ET / 7:01am PT.
2. We have received feedback that it's preferred to sit quietly before the actual 15 mins start, so when you join, please refrain from "chit chat".
3. After the 15 mins are up, we will let everyone know (so you don't need to keep track of time yourself).
4. If you need to drop off early, feel free to just exit the Zoom (no need to let us know.)
