About us
Whether you're new to Connecticut or have always been here, you've heard there's nothing to do in the state, but there's actually a lot of hidden gems. This is an activities-based social group for people in their 20's, 30's, and 40's. We'll be doing a variety of activities, so there should be something that everyone can enjoy!
Event No-Show Policy:
If you're RSVP'd to an event and are unable to attend for any reason, please change your RSVP, post in the event, or send the event host a message. Failure to notify the event host prior to the event start time will be noted, which several consecutive no-shows may result in your removal from the group. In addition, if an event has an attendance cap, with people on the waiting list, at least a 24-hour notice is required. Any notice less than 24-hours will be considered a no-show. However, if a reservation was made, a no-show or less than a 4-hour notice may cause your immediate removal from the group.

Hiking @ Sleeping Giant State Park (Hamden)
Sleeping Giant State Park, 200 Mount Carmel Avenue, Hamden, CT, USHiking at Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT!
Meeting Location: Main parking lot (as soon as you enter the park). Once parked, we will meet outside of the main parking lot (on the side furthest away from the road / closer to the trail). I'll post exactly where I am once I arrive.
Trail: We will take the Tower Trail (main trail) up to the top. βIt is a wide, 1.5-mile gravel path (3 miles round trip) that winds gently up to the stone observation tower/castle at the summit of Mt. Carmel.
Equipment: I would recommend wearing hiking boots if you have them. This is the easiest of the trails, but feel free to bring whatever items that you normally take with you when you go hiking.
Pets: I will not be bringing a pet with me, but as long as your pet is on a leash, pets are allowed on the Hiking Trails. Feel free to bring your pet if you want to!
Other Information / Cost: Free (if your vehicle is registered in Connecticut). Out of state vehicles are $15. Additional information can be found on their website.
Meeting Time / Hike Start Time: We will meet at 9:40 AM & begin the hike promptly at 10:00 AM.
- Note: If you arrive late, it is possible that the main parking lot will be full & you will get turned away.
Feel free to post any questions/comments or message me directly.
Note: Please make sure your RSVP status is correct by at least two hours prior to the event start time. In other words, if you are RSVP'd Yes and know you aren't coming, please be respectful by updating yourself to No. Any last-minute cancelations, especially if there is a wait list, will be considered a 'No Show' for the event & may restrict you from attending future events. Also, inclement weather will cancel the event.
