What we’re about
Welcome all English-speaking people and Expats in Toulouse!
Our group was created to make your life in Toulouse easier and more interesting through socialising with other open-minded people. There are plenty of activities, communities and good people around, through Expats in Toulouse you will get an easy access to all these resources for free and at one place.
To begin with, you can join our SMILE events to meet many nice people and to get plenty of information, tips and recommendations about life in France and in Toulouse particularly. One of the core values of our group is the mutual support so be sure that you will be welcomed by members of the community.
Our team of organisers from time to time arranges different events (sports, movies, social and professional networking, linguistic and cultural exchanges, eating, drinking, laughing, etc.), which are as diverse as the interests of our members.
Moreover, since it’s a free community, you’re very welcome to organise your own events at any date and time that you like. The purpose of it is to give people the choice, so everyone could find something interesting for oneself.
If you are still reading this long text – SMILE and have a wonderful day! =)

See all- Festival l'Histoire à VenirToulouse, Toulouse

From May 15th to 18th, the L'histoire à venir festival is unfolding with a resounding 80 scientific, literary, and artistic encounters throughout the city of Toulouse.
When historians and archaeologists listen to the past, what do they hear? How can we restore the sonic dimension of times gone by, raising the volume based on the traces that remain? From the echo of voices in prehistoric caves to the deafening sounds of the Industrial Revolution, quietly exploring the silences and din of history amplifies our understanding of the past and our representations of the world.
But having the means to listen is not enough to hear, and marginalized populations or societies without written language continue to be described as "voiceless." Deciphering the score of history means restoring the polyphony—even the cacophony—of the past, from our contemporary worlds filled with recorded sounds, musical harmonies, resounding films, and radio lyrics. These are all invitations to sonic and sensory immersions, to continue to tell history differently and remain in tune with the world around us.
