About us
Exeter is a hub of great music, fantastic dancing, and memorable fun events. There's so much happening all the time, from festivals and club nights to gigs, socials and much more. This group gives you the opportunity to experience some of the best that this amazing city has to offer.
There is a wide variety to the events, from idyllic sunny days to wild nights out. We keep an eye out for suitable events to host, but please do make suggestions if there's an event you'd like to see happen.
This group is open to anyone and everyone. The purpose of it is not for dating or meeting that special someone, but if you do find romance then that's an extra bonus for you. There's only one rule that you must stick to: always be kind and respectful.
Some events may have a charge, especially where venue bookings, tickets, activities or deposits are involved. Any additional money made from events helps contribute towards the running of the group, including Meetup subscription fees, event administration and ongoing organising costs.
If you have any concerns or requirements, please feel free to send me or any of the organisers a message and we'll do our best to help and/or accommodate your needs.

Social Evening & Drinks at Oriels
ORIELS, 223-226 High street ,, Exeter, GBWe’ll be at Oriels, right in the heart of Exeter.
We’ll be gathering inside on the left hand side as you walk in, where the space combines a warm, contemporary feel with a touch of character - ideal for easy conversation and a fun, sociable evening.
Drinks are available throughout the night, with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options to enjoy.
Food is available if you’d like to eat during the evening — the full menu is served until 9pm, followed by a late menu including pizza and sides through to closing.

Social Bowling and Pizza Night at Tenpin Exeter
Tenpin Bowling, 3 - 4 Havenbanks Retail Park, EX2 8BY, Exeter, GBCome and join us for a fun, relaxed social bowling night at Tenpin Exeter!
We’ll meet from 7:00pm so there is time to arrive, say hello, chat and get settled before the bowling starts.
The bowling itself is booked for one hour, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
This is a friendly group event for Exeter Escapades members to meet new people, have a chat, enjoy a game of bowling and have a few laughs along the way.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re good at bowling or haven’t played for years - the main aim is simply to enjoy the evening and meet other members.
I’m starting with one lane. If there is enough interest, I may be able to add more places.
We may stay for a drink or chat afterwards if people fancy it.
Cost:
Early bird places are £9 per person + Meetup service fee until Sunday 6 September.
After that, standard places are £10 per person + Meetup service fee.
The early bird price is there to help confirm numbers early, so I can manage the lane booking and look at adding more places if there is enough interest.This event carries our Community Supported Event badge.

Once the lane is booked, refunds may only be possible if the venue allows a change or if another member is able to take your place. Please only book if you are reasonably sure you can attend.
If the event has to be cancelled by the organiser, paid places will be refunded through Meetup.Looking forward to seeing you there!
