What we’re about

The goal of this group is to read art history books and discuss them. We could also read artist memoirs. I run the Grove Gallery in Downtown Evanston, and this would be the ideal place to meet to discuss reading selections.

I would like to start out by forming a book group. The first book I would like to discuss with the group is "Ninth Street Women." It's a compelling work about the Female Abstract Expressionists: Lee Krasner, Elaine DeKooning, Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, and more.

This group is for all: women, men, trans people, neurodivergent individuals, and more. It is free to join the group, but the events have a small fee. You may pay in advance or on the day of the meeting.

If there are any books or topics that you would like to discuss, please send me an email: sarah@studio215.org
