Please join us in celebrating the lovely Lynn and Liz's birthdays!! These two delightful ladies are both born in May and we shall be having a birthday meal in honour of these two lovely ladies.
We shall be eating at the high rated Malaysian restaurant Nanyang which serves traditional Malaysian dishes and street food, along with traditional Malaysian beverages, and locally sourced beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.

Please join us for a walk along the famous water of Leith pathway.
This a lovely walk through urban Edinburgh that takes us past Murrayfield stadium and the beautiful Dean's village finishing at Leith.
Now that spring is on its way, the trees will be coming into leaf making the walk especially pretty.
The walk is not particularly demanding and shall take between 3 to 3.5 hours and is approx. 7 miles in length
We shall be stopping about half way (90 min) at Stockbridge for a 20 minute break.

At Leith I will be probably having something to eat and drink at the end of the walk, everyone is very welcome to join us.

We shall be taking bus 44 to Balerno at 11.38 from stop PZ and getting off at Slateford, the journey will take approx 20 mins.
From Leith there here is the tram and various buses that leave regularly to the city centre and other parts of Edinburgh.

We’ve booked two pods at £124 per pod for two nights, from Friday, 30th May to Sunday, 1st June. Each pod sleeps four, so there’s space for up to eight of us in total. The cost will be split evenly among those staying in each pod. You’re welcome to book your own pod at:

We have one car with space for four people (including the driver) leaving from Edinburgh on Friday morning and returning Sunday evening. Fuel costs will be shared. Let us know if you’d like a ride, or you’ll need to arrangement your own transport.

Here’s what we’ve got planned:

Mountain biking
We’ll rent mountain bikes for a relaxed ride through forest trails for a couple of hours on Friday.

Canoeing
On Saturday, we’ll hire kayaks to paddle on the Loch. If kayaking isn’t your thing, you can hire a motorboat for a leisurely day instead.

Hill walking
On Sunday, we plan to summit one of the local Munros.

Nightly BBQ
We’ll wind down each evening with a barbecue.

These plans may shift depending on the weather or group preferences. Feel free to organise your own activities, relax by the Loch, explore nearby villages, or dine at local restaurants.

If you’re booking your own pod or staying at the campsite, you’ll handle your own reservations. Activity rentals can be sorted a few days in advance, with payments made directly to the rental companies. We can get quotes beforehand if you’re interested.
