You are warmly invited to attend the Eckankar in Central New York sponsored, in-person spiritual book discussion titled “Raise Your Spiritual IQ! —Discover the Treasure Within” to be held at 2 Library Lane, New Hartford, NY 13413 (New Hartford Public Library, Sammon Room, downstairs).

This is the last class of six Raise Your Spiritual IQ! discussions and will take place on September 21, 2026, 6:15 pm–7:30 pm.

Ted Allen, a long-time student of Eckankar, will facilitate the event. He hopes you bring your stories, your experiences, and your life-long spiritual insights.

You are warmly invited to join others in a spiritual discussion, titled “Walk the Path of Divine Love to Change Your Destiny,” on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 7:00 pm–8:00 pm,
in which you will have the opportunity to share your spiritual experiences and ideas and learn techniques to help you in your daily life.

Try a spiritual exercise to experience the Light and Sound of God.

Join us for a 12-minute HU chant and a short silent contemplation. A conversation follows during which everyone will have the opportunity to share and ask questions.

“Here’s a spiritual exercise to try if you want to experience the Light or Sound of God.

“Shut your eyes and look into the Spiritual Eye. (It’s between your eyebrows, in the center of your forehead.) Sing HU, an ancient name for God, one of the most powerful words for spiritual upliftment.

“As you sing HU, listen for a holy Sound. It may come in any number of ways: like the sound of a rumbling train, a singing bird, buzzing bees, a mellow flute, or even soothing guitars.

“It brings joy and wonder.

“The holy sounds are the creative action of the Life Force, the ECK, as It moves atoms in the invisible worlds. The Sound to reach your ears resonates with your state of consciousness.

“While singing HU, imagine the holy Sound of God cascading over you, like a waterfall of sparkling pure waters. It is cleansing the blemishes of spirit.

“The Sound opens a secret path to the joys of love and grace. You find peace, joy, and spiritual freedom.”

What’s happening this Friday

6:15 pm - 6:50pm Sound of Soul Event: Revitalize and Renew with the Sacred Sound of HU.

At a Sound of Soul event, join others in chanting this ancient mantra for about 12 minutes, continuing to allow this uplifting vibration to be experienced in a few moments of quiet contemplation. Afterwards, enjoy an open spiritual discussion on any questions, insights and experiences that you may have.

7:00 pm–8:15 pm: “What is the Path of Spiritual Freedom? An Introduction to the Basics of Eckankar”

Learn if the core concepts of Eckankar align with your spiritual goals.
When you’re encountering a spiritual path for the first time, it can often take a while to understand what it’s really about, but in our fast-paced city, time is of the essence. This event is designed to provide a clear, honest, and joyful introduction to the core concepts that guide all students of Eckankar. This will help you determine if it aligns with your current spiritual goals.

We welcome people from all teachings, backgrounds, and experience levels. Come ready to listen, ask questions, and share your own spiritual journey with others.

8:15 pm–9:00 pm: Fellowship
Fellowship is your chance to meet with old friends, meet new ones, share stories, and laugh a lot. Sometimes these spontaneous moments are where the deepest connections and conversations happen. We might even have food too!
