What we’re about

Established originally in 2017 with a brief COVID-induced hiatus, East Bay Seniors is back in action!

We're a group of friendly 60 "plus or minus" folks who love a variety of stuff, including games, coffee, restaurants, bowling, book clubs, crafts, concerts, and exploring anything the area has to offer.

Most of us join and attend alone, but you are also welcome to bring your friendly significant other, friend, or family member! This is all about making new connections, and getting yourself out there!

My name is Marcie, and I live in the East Bay so therefore center my hosted events around there, but we are happy to accommodate meetup members from further out if anyone wants to help me host. This is a no-judgment, all-fun zone to socialize, get together and enjoy what amazing things we live near!

Kollide is such a fun, easy-as-pie game to play where you simply place magnets together and hope they don't join together! Think of it like Uno, where the player with the least magnets at the end wins! I can bring Uno, too, and we can just have a fun coffee & conversation.

Let's meet new friends and catch up with the old, and enjoy the ambiance and drinks and snacks at Coffee Depot. See you there!

Destiny's Diner is classic American breakfast fare at great prices. We'll sit together and enjoy our first meal of the day and some great friendship and conversation.

After this, on the 21st I'll be heading into surgery and down for the count for just a little while! I'll be back and have posted/will post many fun things for everyone to enjoy in my absence, but it'll be great to see everyone before the big day.

International Bites: French Food @ Le Central 🇫🇷

Passport not required! Join us every last Wednesday** of the month for a lunchtime trip around the world—one delicious dish at a time. New country, new cuisine, same good friends—new or old.

**Moved to the second to last Wednesday to avoid Thanksgiving rush.

We'll pay for our own checks and tips, keeping the RSVP limit to 6 as to not overwhelm the restaurant.

This month, we're doing French food!

"Le Central is a neighborhood bistro that offers modern versions of French classics using local produce and fresh ingredients. Our menu and wine list focus on affordable, eclectic and unique offerings. Le Central is the third restaurant that chef/proprietor, Jesse James, has built and operated, the other two being, Aperto and Boca Rotis in San Francisco. The large painting by Inez Storer on the south wall of the restaurant is of his son, Sam, and his dog, Skye. We don't know who the guy in the chair is."

Ocean State Clarinet Choir

We are so happy to welcome the Ocean State Clarinet Choir back to the Salem Family Auditorium on Sunday, November 23 at 2 pm. Come and enjoy the melodies and rich harmonies of Clarinets as this talented group of 25 musicians takes the stage for an enchanting concert featuring music from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries by Saint Saens, Holst, Berlioz, Bach, Humperdinck, and contemporary composers Via and Cook.

About the Ocean State Clarinet Choir:
Nicholas Marinaccio, a noted clarinet teacher and performer, founded the Ocean State Clarinet Choir in 2010. The membership of the Clarinet Choir consists of professional and amateur musicians. The group showcases the various sounds of the clarinet family. This includes the high pitch ranges of the E flat and B flat clarinets and goes down to the low organ–like sounds of the alto, bass, and contrabass clarinets. The music performed ranges from the classical repertoire to the contemporary.
The Ocean State Clarinet Choir is conducted by Nicholas Marinaccio and Stephen Toro, music director at the Moses Brown School.
