What we’re about
Welcome to East Valley Board Games!
This Meetup group was created to join like-minded individuals who either love the hobby or are new to modern board games and want to give it a shot! Our focus is to, first and foremost, have fun! We want everyone to feel welcome, and it’s our mission for our members to not feel intimidated by learning and playing new games, nor feel the need to be overly competitive.
Our Games: There is no limit on what types of games can be played at our meetups. However, we’d like to focus on modern board games, i.e., Splendor, Catan, Carcassonne, and such (if you haven’t heard of any of those, it’s A-OK!). We will play a variety of dice, party, card, tile-laying, roll-and-write, and hidden-role games. There’s a game for everyone!
Events: There will many games brought to play if that one doesn’t tickle your fancy! There is also no expectation to know or even learn games prior to the meetup. We welcome everyone to bring your games, too!
