Welcome to East Midlands Social Explorers.

This is a friendly group for people who enjoy meeting new people, sharing experiences and discovering interesting places across the East Midlands and beyond.

The group is built around genuine connection, curiosity and good company. Whether you've lived here for years, have recently moved to the area or would simply like to expand your social circle, you'll be very welcome.

Events may include:

The aim is simple: to create an enjoyable, welcoming and inclusive community where people can make new friends and create lasting memories together.

😂 Ladies of Laughter – Comedy Night

Join East Midlands Social Explorers for an evening of live comedy with Ladies of Laughter.

The show brings together a line-up of established and newer comedians, including Noreen Khan, Tej Dhutia, Raajiee Chelliah, Annette Fagon and Naph Esa. Please note that the line-up is subject to change.

🍹 Meeting: We'll meet at the bar inside the venue at 8.00pm. The show starts at 8.15pm and finishes around 10.00pm, giving us a little time to meet one another beforehand.

Coming on your own is absolutely fine — that's exactly what the group is here for.

💬 Event chat is enabled, so feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions or chat with others who are coming. It's a good way to start getting to know each other before we meet.

🎟️ Tickets: Please purchase your own ticket before attending. Tickets are available through various online outlets. I used Ticketmaster and paid £22.15 in total.
Seats can't be selected when booking, so by meeting beforehand we can at least go into the show together and hopefully sit close to one another.

🚗 Parking: The venue postcode is LE1 6EY. If you're driving, there are several city-centre car parks within walking distance. I'd recommend checking your preferred car park's evening closing time and charges before travelling.
