What we’re about
This group is looking for other E-bikers to take our E-bikes out on bike paths, roads and dirt. I’ll try to post at least two rides a week. Bike path rides are usually along a river or beach and range from 15 to 40 miles with very little elevation gain. Our city street and road rides can range from 20 to 35 miles with elevation gains from 500’ to 5000’. I pick cities to ride in that offer hills to challenge our e-bikes. There are those of us that have E-mountain bikes that are looking to take them on dirt, so I will be posting dirt rides which, for the most part, will be on fire roads (wide track). There are a lot of these roads in our open spaces and national forest which can open up new areas usually too far to hike in a day. Presently, this group will not be riding on single track dirt trails unless they are easy.

See all- CRYSTAL LAKE & HWY 39Crystal Lake Recreation Area, South Antelope Valley, CA
To get to the high country of the San Gabriel Mountains, I used to head up Hwy 39 out of Azusa to The Angeles Crest Hwy 2 at Islip Saddle. It's been closed for 40 years now and I guess it'll never be reopened, so I will just have to do it on my ebike which will allow me to accomplish what I used to do in my thirties with my car.
We'll meet in Crystal lake and take on Hwy 39 before coming back and checking all the roads in the campgrounds. We'll be debriefing at The Crystal Lake Cafe.Make sure you bring along a spare inner tube or slime.
MEETUP LOCATION AND TIME: 10:00am at a parking lot just east of the Crystal Lake Cafe. Ignore the South Antelope Vally you see on the map.
