What we’re about
Cyndy Paige, owner of Rhythm of the Earth, is a long-time student of Sun Bear's Chippewa Medicine Wheel, and she uses the teachings of the wheel to inspire the circles to create a connection between heart, soul and the natural world. The Earth Mother and the plants and animals we share her with have much to teach us!
"The entire experience of the Sacred Circle is of course...healing. The drum rhythms I teach are ancient, mostly slow, meditative and deeply transformative (the heartbeat for instance). They feel of course, quite shamanic because we connect with the energies of the earth...the animals...the elements...the trees...the stones...the heart of the Earth Mother. We also connect with whatever each circle member’s experience of the divine is...whatever name, feeling, system or belief. Even though I teach from a Native American foundation, it matters not what or who (divine energy) you bring to the circle...all are honored. At the core...the experience of the Rhythms, Dances, Sounds, and Energy of the circle, are deeply Spiritual, and of course a feeling of Unity, Peace and Balance is possible. The space in the center of a lovingly created sound cannot help but heal and expand our hearts. Absolutely no experience is needed, and if you don’t have a frame drum, one will be provided."
Cyndy Snake Dancer Paige received the name “Snake Dancer” from Spirit in a profound Vision Quest experience. She is a Council member of the Buffalo Trace Society. She is a traditionally trained Shamanic Sound Healer and Sacred Drum and Rattle Maker who has extensively studied Earth honoring traditions, in initiatory type apprenticeships, with indigenous elders.

See all- Learning from the Trickster - Medicine Wheel Summer StudyLink visible for attendees$300.00
Are you looking for deeper understanding & meaning in your life, especially in the context of a greater whole? Do you want to experience this discovery among like-hearted & souled people?
In this practice, we create a safe space together where we may share our life experiences, celebrations, and journeys - and we support each other in understanding and taking action in our lives. We will have ceremonies, sound healing, sacred chants, group drumming, and story-telling.
Coyote, a prominent teacher in the summer, is thought to be the Trickster in Native American tradition. She teaches us to lighten up and laugh at ourselves, to lean into our emotions and passions, to honor the transformation of fire, and to journey deep inside of ourselves – to remember what we already know.
Through teachers in the natural world, we gain insights into our ourselves and our lives. In this 6-session committed series, we'll learn from and practice with the animal, plant, and mineral teachers of the summer quadrant of the Medicine Wheel. In the summer, we bring attention to Growth and our capacities for Trust & Love.
Prior to experiencing your first quadrant of the wheel, you are invited to complete Self-Healing through Shamanic Journey. This course will prepare you to use the shamanic journey process for self-empowerment throughout your life.

- A Day of Sacred CraftingVass, Vass, NC$99.00
Join us as we create our own Sacred Medicine Tools together. We will do ceremony, vision our projects, laugh, eat, and celebrate the beauty that unfolds from our hands and hearts.
Bring your unfinished drum or rattle, or whatever else is lying around, and we will work on it together. Some folks want to make rattles but be aware that this process requires 2 separate days, which we can schedule if you contact me. If you want to start a rattle, call me and let me know what shape of rawhide to soak for you (Bear, Buffalo, Wolf Howling at the Moon, Butterfly, Heart, Arrow, Eternal Flame, Full Moon, Crescent Moon). Also, bring your calendar and we will pick the second day to finish your rattle.
I will guide you as much or as little as you need. I have plenty of tools, lacing, beads, and feathers to create with or to add those finishing touches to your current Medicine Tool.
Some project ideas:
- Start your rattle (this takes 2 crafting days)
- Cover the handhold of your drum with soft leather or fur
- Decorate your drum beater with leather and/or fur, or create a new one
- Create a feather drop for your drum or rattle
- Create a feather smudge plume
- Create a leather medicine bagRegistration: Click the link below to provide your energy exchange of $99 to cover time & materials (Note that some materials/upgrades are available for an additional exchange) AND
