Discover Durham Together

Are you a Morticia looking for your Gomez? Maybe you're Chucky looking for his Tiffany! Jack Skellingtons and Sallys come one and all to find your doomed duo.

Spooky season is here, and we wanna run it back for everyone else! 👻

Join Triangle Third Place and Discover Durham Together at Drink a Bull in Durham for a mixer filled with tea, cocktails, mocktails, new connections, and just enough Halloween chaos.

🎃 Come in costume, add a little spooky flair, or just show up as yourself... there is no requirement.

🟢Spooky Bingo

What's the best way to learn something you didn’t know before? Bingo, obviously. Walk around and check off some boxes, chat with new friends, or lovers and win a super secret dark prize!

☕ Spill the Tea

Who doesn't like some Tea? We’ll also have an anonymous Spill the Tea jar circulating throughout the evening.

Drop in a confession, unpopular opinion, ridiculous dating story, queer awakening, Halloween hot take, or harmless secret. Throughout the night, we’ll pull a few out and expose them.

No names. No judgment. Potentially a little chaos.

🐂 Drink a Bull

Drink a Bull serves both specialty teas and alcoholic beverages, so whether your potion of choice is boozy, caffeinated, or completely alcohol-free, there’s something for you.

🚗 Plenty of parking around the building, but if it fills up you can park at Dollar General and walk over
💕 A little singles mixer etiquette (with love!) 😂
We’re excited to bring everyone together for a fun, relaxed night of meeting new people, making connections, and maybe finding a little chemistry! ✨
To help keep things comfortable and fun for everyone, just a few friendly reminders:

• Flirting is welcome! Just make sure the interest is mutual. 😉
• Respect boundaries. If someone’s not interested, no hard feelings! There are plenty of new people to meet.
• Remember, being friendly doesn’t automatically mean someone is flirting.
• Be kind and respectful to everyone, whether there’s romantic interest or not.
• Don’t be shy about starting a conversation! That’s why we’re all here. 💕

Most importantly, we’re a community first and a singles mixer second. We want everyone to leave feeling comfortable, respected, and happy they came!
If anything makes you uncomfortable, please find a host. We’re here to help. 💛
Be yourself. Be respectful. Keep the creepy vibes at home. 😂💕
Come for the company. Stay for the chemistry. 😉

It’s almost Halloween so I thought it would be fun to have a themed book for the vibes.

We will be reading, “Practical Magic” by Alice Hoffman.

Come join us at Namu for some good food, drinks, and chat about the book.

I’ll arrive early and get us a table. More than likely it will be one of the three tables right outside the Cafe area.

It’s getting cooler out, so Walk & Brew is getting a Halloween edition!

We’ll meet at 6:30 PM at Bull McCabe’s and make our way through downtown Durham, checking out costumes, grabbing drinks, getting some walking in, and stopping at a few fun spots along the way.

6:30 — Bull McCabe’s
Our starting point. Grab a drink, meet everybody, and we’ll head out together.

→ The Velvet Hippo
Getting here relatively early before the rooftop gets packed. Food is available if you’re hungry.

→ Queeny’s
Basically next door, so an easy second stop—and another chance to grab food.

→ High Dive
One more stop as we make our way toward Five Points.

≈ 9:30 — Rubies on Five Points 💃🕺
Our final destination for The Mallgoth Horror Picture Show, their Halloween dance party. The party starts at 9 PM and there’s a $10 cover.

Come in costume if you want, but it’s definitely not required. You can drink, not drink, eat along the way, leave whenever you want, or stick around and dance with us at the end.
