There is no AI-writing, I write the summaries myself and I aim to make them as in-depth as I possibly can. An average summary can be around 6.000 words and often it is written chapter by chapter.

Additionally, you shall soon also find think pieces, sharp commentary on contemporary voices, and timeless literature.

About Us

If you find yourself here, chance is, you are curious. You are a wanderer, an explorer of ideas, seeking the 'whys' and 'hows' of our world, of what makes us human.

In a culture dominated by “hyper-connectivity”, we often lose sight of what truly matters; the treasure of ancient wisdom, the beauty of curiosity, and the profound meaning of community.

The Curious Collective is here to rekindle those flames. 🔥

We believe in the power of shared ideas, meaningful conversations, and sharing the journey.

As Joseph Addison wisely said, "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." Our collective mission is to exercise our minds, curiosity, and sense of belonging to a community of like-minded people.

We are not: Intellectual W*nkers. We keep it real, there is no intellectual snobbery here.

We are: Ordinary humans, who crave knowledge, connection, and someone to chat about cool ideas and share the journey with.

How does it work?

One book, in one month. You pick the medium and the pace. We then meet to discuss ideas, share insights, learn, and share stories.

What are the books and how are they selected?

This originally began as a Non-Fiction book club yet we are expanding to read classic literature and contemporary voices just as well. We curate our book selection based on recommendations from leading thinkers, authors, and accomplished individuals.

What genre of books will be selected?

A wide net of topics: Psychology, History, Self-Development ( nothing wuwu), Philosophy, Creativity, Storytelling, Design, Innovation, Health, Wellbeing and so on.

Stay Curious – for there's always more to discover.

    Book of the Month

In our last chapter, Melissa Febos with Body Work illustrated the compelling necessity of personal narratives in the form of memoir and first person narratives—the uniquely written perspective of someone’s story, a story that cannot be questioned for objective truth but only humbly witnessed as experienced truth, the truth of a person’s life.

We now delve into such a lived and embodied tale through Ta-Nehisi Coates’s memoir Between the World and Me. Written as a letter to his son, Coates weaves together history, memoir, and urgent reportage to explore what it means to inhabit a Black body in a nation built on the falsehood of race. At once intimate and sweeping, this work confronts the legacies of slavery and segregation, the violence of the present, and the possibility of a freer future.

Named one of the New York Times’s 100 best books of the 21st century and hailed by Toni Morrison as “required reading,” this is a bold and deeply personal exploration of America’s racial history by “the most important essayist of a generation and a writer who changed the national political conversation about race.”

If you have a problem getting yourself a copy of the book/s, get in touch!

    Make a commitment 👏 📅

As the spots fill up pretty quickly, be quick to sign up - but do so ONLY if you make a real commitment to join.

We have an amazing, committed community that generously shows up, contributes, and gives its best. Sign up only if you are committed and eager to attend. Mark your calendar and make a commitment to yourself and your community.

    Discussion

For the discussion, we’ll divide in smaller groups of around 4-6 as to have a more intimate environment to facilitate conversations where everyone can feel welcome to participate at their pace.

    Tips:
I suggest having a notebook/ a place where you can take notes of the most interesting parts & thoughts you had - this is going to be very helpful for the discussion.
