AI, AI everywhere: MCP, Coding harnesses & AI tokenomics
Conflux, Europalaan 93, Utrecht, NLThere are only 80 spots available, so make sure to secure yours now!
Save the date!
Date: 14 October 2026 - 17:00 – 21:00
Location: Europalaan 93, UtrechtAI is becoming an increasingly important part of modern software development. But as AI agents become more capable, new questions arise: how do we give them access to our tools and systems, and how do we make sure they work efficiently within our own development environments?
During this Conflux Connect meetup, we’ll explore practical approaches to working with AI agents in software development. From building your own coding harness to connecting AI agents with existing tools and systems through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), our speakers will share their experiences, technical insights and lessons learned from the field.
This event is intended for software developers, architects, platform engineers, data professionals, and anyone interested in AI and the future of software development.
Program:
17:00 – 18:00 Walk-in + Dinner

We’re excited to welcome Alexander Chatzizacharias, an international speaker and software engineer at JDriven. You don't need Claude Code, you need your own agent harness
Every coding harness on the market is built for the general public working on all kinds of codebases. From Java to Python to assembly. They need to work with all those codebases. They solve problems you do not necessarily have, and they charge you tokens for the privilege. Generic tools for a codebase that is yours.
At some point extending someone else's coding harness costs more than owning one. That is where we landed, so we built our own.
This session is about what that actually looks like. Dedicated Jira and AWS tools instead of generic shell calls scripts in md files. Repository aware building and testing that knows which projects a change touches. No skills, no AGENTS.md, because both spend tokens on context our agent rarely needs. Cheaper to run, faster to use, and shaped the way we want it.Tim Visser | JDriven
Our second speaker is Tim Visser, software engineer at JDriven.MCP and You: Teaching Agents to Use Your Stuff
Your AI assistant is great at writing emails and useless at knowing anything about your actual systems, because it has no way to reach them. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) fixes that gap: an open standard that lets an AI model discover what your software can do and call it, the same way developers have spent years building APIs for other humans and services to call.
We'll look at how MCP actually works under the hood, and what changes in day-to-day development once your tools have a new kind of caller. Come find out what it takes to give your own tools a seat at the table.65 attendees
