About us
# Creative, improvised movement for body, heart and soul.
Gabrielle Roth’s Five Rhythms Ecstatic Dance is a relaxing releasing workout for mind, body and spirit. Let go of your mind and let your body take you into your wildness, your tenderness, your joy – with yourself, with others. Come home to the ground of your being. Somewhere in you the dancer is waiting, waiting to be recognised and given life in movement. All you need is to move and let the music touch you. Where earth and sky meet – that’s you – alive in your dance!
We invite you to join 20-30 new and regular dancers each month, at The Coddenham Centre on Sundays, 4-6:30pm. Cash only on the door or pay by card with Eventbrite.
We also run dance camps just a 30 minute drive from Coddenham. Visit opentolife.co.uk to see full details on all camps and subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates on all our events.

Full Moon – Women’s Five Rhythms Dance
IP6 9SR, Maryday Close, Ipswich, GBJoin us for a soulful afternoon of movement, connection, and community — a space for women to gather, dance, connect, and express under the energy of the Full Moon.
Five Rhythms is a moving meditation practice that invites you to explore five energies — Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. There are no steps to learn and no dance experience needed. The invitation is simply to move in your own way, listen to your body, and allow the dance to unfold naturally.
These sessions are warm and welcoming, and sensitively held. Alongside movement, there will be space for reflection, circle sharing, and community connection. These gatherings are hosted by Emily Druiff and led by experienced Five Rhythms teacher Tim Broughton. Emily creates nurturing spaces for women centred around authenticity, rest, connection, emotional wellbeing, and community. Her intention is to offer gatherings where women can arrive exactly as they are, feel welcomed and held, and reconnect with themselves and each other in a genuine and supportive way. Tim has been facilitating workshops and working with personal growth, movement, and transformational practices for over 30 years. He trained extensively with Gabrielle Roth and has taught Five Rhythms dance internationally for decades. His approach is grounded, compassionate, and deeply respectful — creating safe spaces for emotional expression, creativity, freedom, and embodied connection.
While this is a women’s gathering, the dance space is facilitated by Tim as an experienced practitioner and space holder. We recognise that everyone arrives with different experiences and comfort levels, and we want participants to feel empowered to honour their own boundaries and needs. If anything arises around this dynamic, you are warmly encouraged to speak directly with Emily or Tim at any point.
This event is for women only.

Opening to Intimacy, Opening to Love: a Workshop-Camp with Tim Broughton
near , Saxmundham, Suffolk,, London, GBAn invitation to deepen the experience of intimacy in your life.
Having a clear sense of our boundaries creates the freedom to open into our natural innocence of playful, joyful, loving relating. This workshop-camp provides a space to meet yourself, moment to moment and to meet with others from this place, with what is real, beyond the masks that we so often interact from and within.
In this experiential workshop-camp, there are opportunities to experience touching and being touched within the realms of sensuality. This is a clothes on event and we will not be entering the sexual realm. This creates a rare opportunity to discover depths of experiencing and connection that is possible with this clear boundary in place, that can lead to profound realisations and life changes.
The workshop creates the possibility to:
- Notice what’s happening inside ourselves – what we are feeling – our wants, needs and desires
- Become aware of our resistances – see how we can prevent intimacy by holding back and not allowing feelings to move in us
- See how honouring and sharing honestly what is happening in us brings us closer to ourselves, to the core of our being, and closer to others
- Develop sensitivity and openness to feeling, hearing and seeing the ourself and the other
- Allow our vulnerability as a creative choice which honours our being and opens our heart
- Discover more intimacy with ourselves and how this supports intimacy in others
- Experience the pleasure of letting go into trust, playfulness and tenderness
- Be deeply touched by life as it unfolds moment to moment so that you can experience more aliveness in your life
There will also be the opportunity to dance the five rhythms. I have been running workshops on the theme of intimacy for approximately 30 years.
This workshop is open to everyone who wishes for more intimacy in their lives whether you are single or in an ongoing relationship.
