Coastal Cyclists is a recreational bicycle club established in Charleston, SC in 1972. We host a variety of weekly rides and promote cycling education, safety and advocacy in our community. Coastal Cyclists is affiliated with local, state and national cycling and cycling advocacy organizations.
We love to ride. We ride for fun. We ride for exercise. We ride to support bicycling advocacy. We ride to promote safe cycling.

- Details: This ride puts an emphasis on smoothness, form, speed with efficiency, and quiet on the bike. The rides are more for working as one verses putting others into difficulty. Generally really for more experienced riders able to handle the bike at speed in a high functioning paceline. Developing riders are advised to hang on back to get acclimated. **Although this is technically a "drop ride," attention is paid to helping riders improve skills and is not a goal to leave anyone behind. But riders should join with awareness this could happen ~ kh
