Welcome to the Chinese learning and conversation club! This group is perfect for anyone looking to improve their Chinese language skills and practice speaking with others in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, all levels are welcome. Join me for fun language exercises, cultural activities, and engaging conversations to help us all become more confident in communicating in Chinese. Let's learn together and have some fun while we're at it! I look forward to meeting you and learning with you!

Also, please pay attention to the group chat! I occasionally will ask you to come prepared with some authentic material, favorite idioms, or just a topic to prepare for conversations. (No pressure, this is not mandatory)

Club Member Created Chinese Geography Game + Mahjong Morning

Come join in on a fun and interactive Chinese learning meetup at the Marmalade Library! We will be trying out a unique geography-based game focused on China and Taiwan, along with Mahjong if we have a larger group.

When: Saturday, May 9th
10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

What we will do:
We will play a custom geography game where you match Chinese place names with regions on the map, major cities, and landmarks. This game was created by our own club member, Scott Owen Snarr, and he would like to try it out with the group. It is a hands-on way to learn and recognize Chinese characters while getting more familiar with geography and culture.

If we have a bigger group, we will split into smaller groups and rotate between:
• The geography game
• Mahjong (casual play and beginner-friendly learning)

Who should come:
All levels are welcome. You do not need any prior experience with Chinese or Mahjong. This is meant to be relaxed, social, and beginner-friendly.

What to bring:
Nothing required, but feel free to bring snacks or drinks. If you know Mahjong and are willing to help others learn, that is always appreciated.
Come hang out, learn something new, and enjoy a laid-back Saturday morning together. ❤️

活动内容：
我们将一起玩一个地理游戏，通过将中文地名与地图区域、主要城市和地标进行配对来学习。
Wǒmen jiāng yìqǐ wán yí gè dìlǐ yóuxì, tōngguò jiāng Zhōngwén dìmíng yǔ dìtú qūyù, zhǔyào chéngshì hé dìbiāo jìnxíng pèiduì lái xuéxí.
这个游戏是由我们俱乐部成员 Scott Owen Snarr 设计的，他也很期待和大家一起试玩。

需要准备：
无需准备任何东西，也欢迎自带零食或饮料。如果你会打麻将并愿意教别人，那就更好了。
