About us

Join our Chicagoland Coworking Meetup group for like-minded individuals who are freelancers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers looking to network, learn, and collaborate on projects related to software design, front-end development, user interface design, and creative coding. Whether you are a digital producer, UX expert, or indie hacker, this group is for anyone interested in running a profitable business, social entrepreneurship, and pragmatic software development. Beginners are welcome. We just ask that you bring a project of your own, not day-job inbox work. Come connect with us and share your knowledge and skills in a supportive and innovative coworking environment. Let's build successful businesses together!

A few house rules. The group is free, but you buy your own coffee and lunch from the venue, which is how we thank them for the space. There's no alcohol at events, and nobody pitches or sells anything; asking for help and offering it is the whole idea. Arriving late or leaving early is fine. RSVPs are capped at 10, so drop yours if your plans change.

Chicago used to have something like this. A free coworking day called Jelly ran twice a week for about five years, later out of the Whole Foods in Lincoln Park. Companies were started by people who met there. Its organizer called it "unnetworking." This group is a suburban take on the Jelly idea, with some of the format borrowed from Pieter Levels, who has run 70+ weekly coworking days with friends in Portugal.
