About us
Welcome to the Cambridge Film Forum, a discussion group dedicated to the love of cinema!
Think of us as film's answer to your local book club. Each month, we pick a current cinema release and meet up to share our thoughts.
Whether you're looking to get stuck in or sit back and listen, we hope you can enjoy a lively but casual discussion that typically lasts a couple of hours.
We also make time for an informal chat before and after the main discussion, where we talk about other films we've seen and occasionally stray completely off-topic.

I Swear | Film Discussion
The Alexandra Arms, 22-24 Gwydir Street, Cambridge, GBPlease come and join us for a special Cambridge Film Forum as we discuss the BAFTA-winning I Swear, which is available to watch on Netflix.
Based on the true story of Scottish activist John Davidson, I Swear follows his experience of growing up with Tourette syndrome, the misunderstanding and stigma he faced, and the people who helped him find his voice.
This event is in partnership with the Cambridge Neurodivergent Social (CNS) group. It's a friendly, low-pressure environment for neurodiverse or questioning adults in the city to feel comfortable being themselves – and it's organised by a couple of our regular attendees, so you'll be sure to run into at least a few familiar faces.

What to expect
Our discussion of I Swear will take place as part of the CNS's regular pub social. You can come just for the film discussion or stay and mingle with the other activities as part of the event. We will follow the same format as our regular events, taking an in-depth look at the film and priding ourselves on lively but respectful discussions. As always, you are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you are comfortable.
Etiquette
The Alexandra Arms kindly provides us significant seating space at no extra cost, so we encourage everybody to purchase a drink upon arrival. (You can also use the pub's website or scan a QR code to get food and drink delivered to the table.)13 attendees
