About us
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.
See you on the trail!

Celebrating Lehigh Valley Beer Week at Yergey Brewing in Emmaus
Yergey Brewing, 235 Main St, Emmaus, PA, USBefore the 2026 Lehigh Valley Beer Week ends, let's celebrate at my favorite local brewery, Yergey Brewing, in Emmaus.
Yergey Brewing opened in 2016 and moved to its current location on Main Street in Emmaus in 2021. The owner, Jim Yergey, won a local Be a Brewer for a Day contest in 2014 before he opened his own brewery.
As I write this, they are pouring a Bohemian pilsner, various IPAs, a Belgian-style golden ale, an American brown ale, imperial and oatmeal stouts, a sour ale, a British mild and a German-style altbier. Even better, as part of their LVBW celebration, they'll be tapping some cask- and barrel-conditioned ales the day before, so they should have them on tap as well.
Yergey also serves hard cider from Five Maidens and Red Balloon, mead from the Colony Meadery, liquor from County Seat Spirits and Eight Oaks Farm Distillery and wine from Maple Springs Vineyard. They don't serve food, but the food truck will be from Uno Taqueria in Allentown (tacos, empanadas, quesadillas, burritos, vampiros, etc.).
As an added bonus, this is also their Sippy-Cup Selfie Scavenger Hunt day. Get and fill a Yergey Brewing sippy-cup, then take selfies with it at various places in Emmaus that are participating in the scavenger hunt to win prizes. Completely optional, hanging at the brewery to enjoy their brews is good too.
Meet starting at 12:30 at the bar, we can grab some tables as more folks arrive. See you there!

Downtown Bethlehem Beer and Wine Crawl
Lost Tavern Brewery, Moravian Book Shop, 444 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA, USFor the second year in a row, downtown Bethlehem has been named the Best Main Street in the US by USA Today readers. We'll celebrate with our second Downtown Bethlehem Beer and Wine Crawl.
We'll get things started at Lost Tavern Brewing's Bethlehem Tap Room, which features 17 beers on tap plus local wines. It's located in the historic Moravian Book Shop, the oldest book store in the US.
From there we'll visit Fegley's Bethlehem Brew Works and Franklin Hill Vineyards' Grape Arbor. All of these places are right on Main Street. We may hit some other places as well. I'll leave it up to the attendees.
Should be a great way to kick off the summer season. Join anywhere along the way. See you there!
