Midterm Election Anxiety Workshop

It’s unlikely that political turmoil – or the anxiety associated with it – will disappear anytime soon. The practice of mindfulness – particularly in group settings – can strengthen our resolve to connect with ourselves and others, confront inner and outer conflict in a constructive fashion, and continue to take responsibility for having a positive impact on society.
This will be an experiential and interactive session to help empower our individual and collective lives, ground ourselves in a good place, and come together in the service of reconciliation and goodwill. Join us for this, and/or the previous workshop on Nov 12.
Location: Bethesda Lutheran Church, 4445 Royal Ave, Eugene.

Monthly Discussion Group: Let's Talk Across Political Divides
Eugene, Eugene, OR, USA, OR, USWant to meet people with different political views than your own? Join a small group once a month to discuss topics ranging from immigration, the future of food, and loneliness. The group will meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:00-7:30pm in Eugene (near the Lane County Fairgrounds- exact location will be shared later). *EVERY MONTH from Nov. 5, 2026 through June 3, 2027 (for 8 months) *- to participate, we ask you to commit to attending every month.
This is a FREE group, and dinner will be provided! Space is LIMITED, and we are aiming for a mix of people from across the political spectrum (Republicans, Democrats, independents, etc.). IMPORTANT: You need to apply to participate by clicking here, (just registering via Meetup will not work). After you apply, you will receive an email on/around Oct. 27 letting you know if you have been accepted into the group. A trained, volunteer facilitator will lead the group. This is a non-partisan community event brought to you by the Southern Willamette Valley Alliance of Braver Angels, with support from the Interactivity Foundation.
