Finding Besties in Texas - Social Events (20s, 30s, & 40s)

End your weekend with "Puro Sabor Latino!" We’re heading to Arjon’s International Club for a free salsa lesson and a night of authentic fun dancing and socalizing. If you've never been, this is the most "old-school" Latin vibe you’ll find in the city.

8:00 PM: Complimentary Salsa Lesson. Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to brush up on their footwork before the band starts.
9:30 PM: The Live Orchestra Takes the Stage. This is when the energy really shifts! Get ready for high-volume live brass and heavy percussion.
Late Night: Social dancing continues until 2:00 AM with a mix of Salsa, Bachata, and Cumbia.
Note - the salsa lesson is free but there is a $10 cover.

Did you know? These population of Mexican Free-tailed Bats at the Waugh Bridge can reach a peak of approximately 300,000 in the summer months! Around sunset, the colony leaves the crevices beneath the bridge and create a whirlwind-like formation as they emerge.

Join the Houston Area Bat Team to learn and discover as they share fun, educational facts and insights about these miniature, flying mammals!

Whether you are a total beginner looking to try climbing for the first time or a seasoned climber working on tough projects, this event is all about active fun and making new connections.

The District has an incredible, high-energy climbing community and an open layout that makes it easy to chat, share beta (climbing tips), and hang out between routes.

We will climb for about two hours and then figure out a nearby spot for drinks or a bite to eat afterward for anyone interested.
