Sunday, October 18 – Afternoon @ Nomad House, Raval (Barcelona)

An afternoon of Arabic culture, belly dance, live music, DJs, and community gathering in the heart of Barcelona.

Before the main show, we open the space with a tribal dance jam (Hafla) — a shared moment to move, connect, and build energy together.

Then comes SULTANA , a live immersive performance where belly dance, live percussion, and electronic music merge into a hypnotic journey.

Una tarde de cultura árabe, danza del vientre, música en vivo, DJs y encuentro comunitario en el corazón de Barcelona.

Antes del espectáculo principal, abrimos el espacio con una jam de danza tribal (Hafla) , un momento compartido para moverse, conectar y construir energía juntos.

Después llega SULTANA , una experiencia inmersiva en vivo donde la danza oriental, la percusión y la música electrónica se fusionan en un viaje hipnótico.

Join BCN Globals Run Club and Nomad House for our Monday Beach 5K Run.

LUMA

This event is a collaboration between BCN Globals and Nomad House, with Nomad House supporting the run as a community partner and sponsor. Together, we want to create more easy ways for internationals, locals, entrepreneurs, professionals, founders, freelancers, creatives, and new-in-town members to move, connect, and start the week with good energy.

This is a social and beginner-friendly 5K by the beach.

You do not need to be fast. You just need to show up, move, and enjoy the run.

Our weekly ritual:

Run by the beach
Meet new people in Barcelona
Connect with an active community of globals and locals
Build a healthy Monday routine
Challenge yourself in a fun and friendly way

You can also join the optional BCN Globals Run Challenge.

At our Monday Beach 5K, the top male runner and top female runner can each win a €5 restaurant voucher to use at one of our favorite post-run restaurants, such as La Carioca or Honest Greens.

The challenge is activated when we have a minimum of 5 runners registered in each category.

Meeting Point
La Carioca, Barceloneta

We meet at La Carioca Restaurant, just a few meters from Barceloneta Metro Station on the Yellow Line, L4.

Storage:
La Carioca can store our belongings during the run. Storage is limited, so please bring as little as possible.

Water:
La Carioca provides free water jars after the run.

Food and drinks:
We have a 10% discount on drinks and food at La Carioca after the run.

Program

19:30 - Meet at La Carioca, bag drop, optional 5K Challenge registration
19:45 - Welcome, runner introductions in groups of 5, and warm-up
20:00 - Start of the 5K beach run
Around 20:30 - Return to La Carioca for water, cooldown and stretching
20:30 onwards - Optional post-run food, drinks and social time

This is a 5K non-stop beach run.

Beginners are welcome. If you are not used to running 5K non-stop yet, our host team and pacers will help you manage the pace, stay with the group, and complete the route safely.

The goal is to help you build up your skills so you can eventually run the full 5K non-stop with confidence.

Pace Groups

We usually organize two pace groups:

Faster group: around 5 min/km
Social group: around 6 min/km

If you are a beginner or you are not used to running 5K without stopping, don’t worry. Our team will help you choose the right pace and support you during the run.

BCN Globals Run Club is part of BCN Globals Sports Club, the sports side of BCN Globals: an international and local community in Barcelona for people who want to live better, connect more, and make the city feel like home.

We believe sport is one of the easiest ways to meet people, build routines, and feel part of something, especially when you live abroad.

Feeling stiff, tense, or just in need of a good stretch? Come join us for one hour of gentle, full-body stretching in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere!
This is a casual, beginner-friendly stretching session on a mat, open to all levels of flexibility and experience. You don't need to be flexible or know any poses beforehand.
We'll follow a structured, full-body routine, taking our time with each stretch so you can really settle into it, feel your body loosen up, and find what feels comfortable for you.

What to expect:

• 60 minutes of gentle, full-body stretching
• Slow, longer-held stretches without rushing
• Modifications for different levels of flexibility
• A relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to perform
• A session held entirely in English

A little heads-up: I'm not a professional stretching instructor! I simply enjoy stretching and thought it would be more fun to do it together. I'll prepare and guide us through a routine, but this is a shared practice rather than a formal class. Everyone is encouraged to listen to their own body and adjust the stretches as needed.

What to bring: Your own yoga or exercise mat, comfortable clothes, and maybe some water.
Come as you are, stretch at your own pace, and leave feeling a little more relaxed and mobile.

This week we're joining Wine Wednesday: Wherever Sessions, a live music night from Front Page News Barcelona. The concept is built around intimate live performances and a night that develops through different artists and sets, rather than just one standard gig.

Come for the music, grab a glass of wine (or whatever you prefer), and meet some new people while you're there.
It's a good one if you're new in Barcelona, want to expand your circle, or simply want something a little different to do in the middle of the week.

You don't need to know anyone beforehand. We'll be there as a group, so come say hi, settle in and enjoy the music.

IMPORTANT: RSVP'ing on Meetup does not give you entry. This is a ticketed event and tickets need to be purchased separately.
