HABRICH RIDGE LOOP (Squamish Area)
St. Davids Church, 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, BC, CAHABRICH RIDGE LOOP (Squamish Area)
##
Must be comfortable with scrambling for this one.
Heard of this trail for a while now but never got around to it so going to give it a go Sunday if anybody with scrambling experience wants to join me for a relatively short day. Be warned, this is not for the faint of heart. I will not be taking the gondola to the starting point rather we will be driving up the FSR. This is steep and loose requiring a 4 wheel drive which I just happen to have. Also, this is not to be confused with the popular Al Habrich Trail which we won't be doing but rather part of the access route to Mount Habrich itself but in a loop fashion. I want to check out the climbing access while passing by. This route has ladders, ropes, chains and apparently a little exposure so be prepared as we ascend and descend 5 bumps or so I'm told. GPS is mandatory on this one supposedly.
Note: This will only be attempted in bone dry conditions and if the weather changes it will be postponed.
is no need to RSVP "No", if you are not attending. We only need to know who IS attending. The "No" feature is there for people who need to change their RSVP.
THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER EVENT. DO NOT OVERESTIMATE YOUR ABILITIES PLEASE).
Be sure to answer the questionnaire in order to be considered for this event
At the moment the forecast looks pretty decent. Should the weather change then a postponement would be implemented or a change of venue. Not to be done when wet

Trip Report:
A recent trip report here from Alltrails among others. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canada/british-columbia/mount-habrich-loopWeather Outlook:
https://www.theweathernetwork.com/en/city/ca/british-columbia/squamish/7-daysFOOD AND BEVERAGES AFTER HIKE:
Perhaps afterwards a bite to eat and drink at a local establishment to replenish those calories lost and to just shoot the breeze about the days highlights before heading back. Something I usually like to do. Open to suggestions. Could always bring a lunch or buy something at the restaurant as well.Carpooling:
Please carpool to events whenever possible. The high cost of gas and maintaining a vehicle make this a very sensible option for vehicle owners and allows those without a car to get to the events. While vehicle owners are free to set their own reasonable fee for carpooling, it is typically suggested that passengers offer the driver $10.00 per hour of driving (includes mileage and vehicle wear & tear). This is only a guideline and the driver may charge more or less depending on the situation. Please state in your RSVP whether you can offer a ride or need a ride, and where you will be coming from. Passengers, please ensure you show up on time and bring an extra bag for wet/muddy footwear and clothing. Also, please make every effort to get to a convenient pick up place for your driver!
Please do not leave carpooling arrangements until the last minute – you, not the event organizer, are responsible for arranging your own carpooling to events. Thanks!Disclaimer/Waiver:

Not to much in the way of backpacking video footage of the immediate area other than this footage from Graham Mulligan on their 7 day trip. This just gives an idea of what's up there. The colors of the mountains are like like the Rainbow. Endless ridgewalking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOTBP8LkzHE
