About us
Basel Circle ©
A friendly community to meet new people and build real friendships in Basel.
Culture, movement, nature, music. We see these themes as pillars of wellbeing and connection. Find all of the Circles through the Basel Circle © WhatsApp community and learn more about our mission here.
What we do
We host relaxed meetups where locals and newcomers can connect through conversation, games, and shared activities. Meetings take place in cozy studios, community rooms, parks, or cafés, always in a friendly, low‑pressure atmosphere.
How it works
Each meetup is different: icebreakers, group games, creative activities, or just talking over coffee. You can join in German or English, whatever is easiest.
Why join?
Because making new connections in Basel isn’t always simple. Basel Circle makes it (hopefully!) easier. Come alone or with a friend, bring your authentic self, and enjoy genuine encounters that may grow into lasting friendships.
Tips for joining
We’re a new, small group in Basel and every RSVP counts. Come as you are, our space is personal, with room for ten. Friendship starts with showing up and openness. Join us, be part of it, and help shape this community.
We are looking forward to meeting you!

Members' Night & Ruth Asawa at Fondation Beyeler at Culture Circle ©
Fondation Beyeler, Baselstrasse 101, 4125 Riehen, Switzerland, Riehen, BS, CHCulture Circle © A non-profit community for people who enjoy art and culture. We look at art together and get to know each other along the way.
What we do We visit exhibitions, museums, concerts and other cultural places in and around Basel. The art gives us something to look at together and an easy way into conversation. You don't need to know anything about art, and nobody has to share anything personal. Culture Circle © meets as regularly as possible.
What Culture Circle © is not about This is not dating event. It is about meeting people through something you enjoy together.
This event The Young Art Club of the Fondation Beyeler has invited Culture Circle © to its first Members' Night. We are guests for the evening and see the exhibition "Ruth Asawa" outside regular opening hours, the first European retrospective of the American artist. The art education team shares insights into the exhibition, and there is time to talk with each other and with members of the Fondation. Michaela, who leads the Young Art Club, welcomes our group. We meet at 18:20 at the main entrance and go in together.
Who this is for This evening is for the people who got a place in our draw. Entry is through our guest list, so an RSVP alone does not give access. If you did not get a place this time, there will be more chances, and more shared art viewings with the Young Art Club are planned for 2027.
What to bring Nothing is mandatory. These things help.
- Curiosity and a few questions about the art
- A warm layer for the way to the tram
Good to know Admission is by invitation of the Fondation Beyeler. If something comes up, please tell us as early as possible so someone from the waiting list can join. More about us on baselcircle.ch.
We look forward to the evening with you.
