From Blueprint to Production: Real-World Engineering with Github Copilot
Adnovum Bern, Brückfeldstrasse 16, Bern, CHDear Azure User Group Bern Members,
We are back from the summer break! 🌴
In this special edition meetup, tech communities on both side of the Röstigraben come together bringing fascinating tech-talks about AI.
Together with the Silicon Chalet we are happy to welcome you to Adnovum Bern for an event dedicated to real world AI use cases. Two in-depth yet accessible talks, a warm setting, and the perfect opportunity to connect with other tech enthusiasts from both side of the Saarine.✨ Talk 1 – From Architecture Diagram to Production on Azure — with GitHub Copilot
🎤 Adil Touati (Microsoft) (EN)
A diagram is just a picture. Turning it into running software means crossing app code, infrastructure, security, config, and deployment — handoff after handoff.
In this live session, we take an architecture diagram and turn it into a deployable app on Azure using GitHub Copilot and AI agents. You'll see what an Agentic SDLC really looks like, the groundwork that makes agents useful (context engineering, constraints, repo structure, platform standards), and how Copilot generates and validates the IaC and app code that get you to production.
No magic — an honest look at where agents deliver, where humans still decide, and what platform teams need in place to make it real.✨ Talk 2 – From Policy to Proof: Building an AI Compliance Rules & Validation Engine with Claude Code and Azure Native Services
🎤 Daniel Hogg (Adnovum) (EN)
This talk demonstrates how to develop an AI Compliance Rules & Validation Engine using Claude Code and Azure Native Services in a fast time-boxed manner. The resulting PoC application shows how complex policy documents can be turned into deterministic, auditable compliance checks. We start with the business context, then walk you through a live end-to-end demo from policy ingestion to rule execution and explainable results. Afterwards, we'll explain how the application was developed using Claude code and how the architecture looks like based on Azure Native Services. We end with lessons learned from building the system and advice on using AI to accelerate architecture decisions, implementation speed, and reliability.🕓 Agenda
