What we’re about
A society consists of like-minded people governed by their own norms and values within a dominant, larger environment- Welcome to the Atlanta Rock & Metal Society!
This meetup group is a judgement free zone, designed for all metro Atlanta fans of rock and metal music to come together and enjoy all things rock! What’s not to love about going to see great live shows with some good friends, right? We plan events that take us to a variety of the greatest live venues that Atlanta has to offer, as well as other gatherings that will allow us to chill and socialize as a group.
In the spirit of building a true Society we have a few basic rules:
• We require that all members attend at least one event in each calendar year, this is a MeetUp group after all!
• In the event that you amass 3 no-shows, we will give you the boot! It's inconsiderate and downright rude to stand up you fellow Society Members!
• We also require each user include a photo in their profile so that we may be able to identify you when you come to events.
So, if you are a fan of Rock/Hard Rock/Metal and, can abide by these rules ...Come rock out with us!

Ministry – Hailing from Chicago, Ministry is a pioneering industrial metal band known for their aggressive fusion of heavy metal and electronic elements ⚙️🔥. Originally starting as a synth-pop act in the early '80s, they evolved into an industrial powerhouse with albums like The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69. Frontman Al Jourgensen is notorious for his wild persona and anti-establishment themes.
Nitzer Ebb – Formed in Essex, England, Nitzer Ebb is a driving force in the EBM (Electronic Body Music) scene, blending pounding beats with shouted vocals and minimalistic synths 🖤🎛️. Best known for tracks like Join in the Chant and Control I’m Here, their sound heavily influenced industrial dance music and bands like Rammstein.
Die Krupps – Emerging from Düsseldorf, Germany, Die Krupps helped lay the foundation for industrial music by mixing metallic percussion, synthesizers, and later, heavy guitar riffs 🔩⚡. Their early work in the '80s leaned heavily into EBM, but by the '90s, they embraced a more industrial metal sound, inspiring acts like Rammstein and KMFDM. Fun fact: Their name is a reference to the German steel industry, symbolizing their fusion of metal and machinery in music.
