For active & athletic singles in their 30s, 40s, and 50s looking to have fun while forging new friendships with other active, fit, adventurous, like-minded people. We host activities and adventures of all types: biking, kayaking, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding, speed friending, river rafting, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, 5k's, volleyball, soccer, game nights, bowling, zip-lining, volunteering, and social nights out on the town, etc. Open to ideas for future outings.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
These rules are intended to prevent anonymous stalkers and harassers from plaguing our group. Profiles that do not meet the following requirements will be removed from the group.
Your profile must:
* Use your real first name. (Exceptions can be made for privacy if you have a very uncommon or recognizable first name. Contact an organizer.)
* Last name is optional, but we recommend using the first letter of your last name, especially if you have a common first name. Example: John D
* Use a recognizable head shot. (Again, exceptions can be made for special stalking circumstances. Contact an organizer.)
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
* If your profile has been inactive for more than six months, you will be removed from the group. This is to protect your privacy. You are welcome to rejoin the group at any time.
* No-showing to events takes up a spot someone could have used. It's not cool. Life happens to everybody, but just please give everyone the courtesy of changing your RSVP. If you regularly no-show to events, you will be asked to change your ways. Repeat offenders may be removed from the group. Extreme offenders may be blocked.
BEHAVIOR REQUIREMENTS
* Anybody who posts anything inappropriate or offensive on Meetup or Facebook will be removed and/or blocked from both platforms.
* Anybody who behaves in a threatening or inappropriate manner towards any other member, either during an event or outside of an event, will also be removed and/or blocked from both platforms.

Lets celebrate New Year's Eve with The First Night of Funny @ Proctors (Part-1)

A Proctors Theater tradition returns! This New Years Eve say GOODBYE to 2025 with a hilarious night of laughter that everyone will enjoy, but that won’t break the bank! The annual “First Night of Funny” event showcases four professional comedians with four unique and hilarious perspectives on the world. This is your last chance to laugh in 2025 and has something for everyone!
Couple that with a ticket price starting at just $30 in advance, and a show that ends by 10pm on New Year's Eve, you can’t miss this last chance to laugh!

If you wait too long, ticket prices increase and this event may sell out or you may not have the best seating to choose from. I'm posting this event well in advance so we may have an opportunity to sit as a group with decent seating.

Then click choose your seats. I purchased tickets in Orch Ctr Left Row: DD Seat: 1,3,5. All seats in DD Ctr Left from 7, 9, 11, 13 to are open.
As of 10/16 most seats in Orch Ctr Left Row: DD, EE, FF, GG are open, therefore we could sit in proximity as a group and with great viewing of the main stage.
The comedy shows ends at 10pm, the night's still young, so let's paint the town red... the rumor on the street is that there will be a band playing at the Rivers Casino (Van Slyck's) until 1am (way past my bedtime😂) details to follow.
If some folks are interested in pre-gaming the evening at Wolf's Bier Garten with food, drinks, shuffle board and darts or feel free to bring your favorite game. Afterwards we can walk over to Proctor's. Let chat in the discussion section.

New Year's Eve with Ill Funk Ensemble @ Rivers Casino (Part - 2)
Rivers Casino & Resort, 1 Rush St, Schenectady, NY, USLets have a New Years Eve revel with fun and dancing with Ill Funk Ensemble at Van Slyck's inside Rivers Casino on New Year's Eve.
A slick mash-up of hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and rock that’s been compared to The Roots, The Ill Funk Ensemble has been making steady waves in the independent music scene for the last few years, culminating in a win for Best R&B/Soul artist at the Artists in Music Awards in Los Angeles, California in 2013.
A few of us attended an Ill Funk Ensemble show, and they delivered and brought down the house. They killed it with an extended version of California Love and crushed it with their rendition of Rump Shaker!
Here's a sample of Ill Funk bringing the party for the souls who braved a chilly evening in February to see them perform at the Spa City Tap & Barrel.

Typically there's a DJ to keep the energy flowing and your body grooving while Ill Funk Ensemble is on break.
The band takes the stage at 9pm, however I will be attending The First Night of Funny comedy event at Proctors that will conclude around 9:30pm, I should arrive by 10ish. if someone can get there early and snag a small round table that would be great!
This show will be held at Van Slyck venue inside the casino. Should you get a grumble in your tummy after all that dancing, there are several dining options on premise. (Villa Italia pastries are tantalizingly delicious!)
There is free parking at the outdoor parking lot or inside the garage.
No cover charge.
