About us
Hello and welcome to the AITP Lehigh Valley Chapter Meetup group!
Who are we?
We are the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP), a non-profit organization of CompTIA. Our mission is to provide our IT-business members with opportunities and resources necessary to develop and advance their IT careers. Our core values encompass integrity, respect, innovation and service. Most of our meetings are opened to non-members/professionals and students. Additional information about AITP can be found at our national website (https://www.aitp.org/).
Why?
Are you looking for insight on how technology can be used to your competitive advantage? Trying to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in your industry? Want to know what works, when, and most importantly why? So do we.
What and when?
We strive to acquire great speakers on current topics that would benefit our members and guests. We meet once per month with our season starting in September and ending on the following June. Due to the Holidays, we do not meet in December. The attire for our meetings is business-casual.
Where?
Our home base is located at the Starlight Diner, near the intersection of Route 78 and 100 South. To access our private meeting room, you can either enter the front door or the left side entrance of the restaurant. Depending on the venue, we also meet at Kutztown University, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Lehigh University, DeSales University or at one of our tour sites. Please visit our local chapter website at http://www.lv-aitp.org/ for additional information about our events.
How to reach us?
Please feel free to contact us (webmaster@lv-aitp.org) for chapter and meeting information or visit our website at http://www.lv-aitp.org/. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming meetings and events!

AI for IT Operations: What Actually Works
DeSales University Center & Bookstore, 2755 Station Avenue, Center Valley, PA, USOur next local AITP Chapter will be meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in the Trexler Room at DeSales University Center & Bookstore.
This presentation is open for members and non-members, faculty, staff, and students.
ABSTRACT:
AI for IT Operations: What Actually Works
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
John Lane is the Founder and CEO of Logical Front, a cloud and infrastructure services firm he founded in 2003. With over 25 years of hands-on IT experience spanning enterprise, education, healthcare, finance, and public-sector environments, John brings a grounded, practitioner's perspective to every engagement.
John's background covers infrastructure architecture, networking, cloud strategy, security, and artificial intelligence. He is known for translating complex technology decisions into clear, actionable guidance—bridging the gap between what IT teams build and what business leaders need to understand.
In recent years, John has been focused on operationalizing AI within IT infrastructure—not as a concept, but as a working system. Logical Front's Overwatch platform, powered by the Forge AI engine, automates incident response, root cause analysis, and change management for managed services clients across multiple verticals. This real-world AI deployment informs everything John brings to conversations about practical AI adoption.
He presents regularly to IT and executive audiences on AI strategy, infrastructure modernization, and the operational realities of deploying AI at scale.
Company Bio:
Logical Front is a cloud and infrastructure partner that helps organizations make confident, well-informed decisions throughout their technology journey. Founded in 2003, we specialize in cloud readiness, migrations, cost optimization and governance, datacenter solutions, and AI-powered managed services. Our work is grounded in vendor-neutral analysis and real-world operational experience. In addition to public cloud platforms, Logical Front offers private managed cloud solutions for organizations that require greater control, predictability, or regulatory alignment.
What sets Logical Front apart today is our investment in applied AI. Our Overwatch platform—built on the Forge AI engine—delivers autonomous incident detection, root cause analysis, and change approval workflows for our managed services clients. Forge isn't a vendor product; it's a system we built and operate, which means we understand AI implementation from the inside out.
We work closely with IT leaders and executives to provide practical, unbiased guidance—focused on outcomes, not hype. Our long-term relationships are built on trust, transparency, and a commitment to making technology a strategic advantage rather than a source of uncertainty.
