El Internet de las Cosas llenó nuestras casas y oficinas de dispositivos que recopilan datos sin parar. La mayoría de nosotros firmó los términos y condiciones sin leer una línea. Pero alguien sí tiene que leerlos. Y alguien tiene que escribir los que todavía no existen.

Leonardo Morales es abogado especializado en ciberseguridad y protección de datos personales. En esta plática, arranca desde lo básico: qué es el IoT, por qué genera riesgos reales para tu privacidad, y qué marcos legales ya existen para obligar a que la ciberseguridad proteja tus datos. Your fridge knows what you eat. Your watch knows how you sleep. Your smart speaker listens more than you think. The Internet of Things filled our homes and offices with devices that collect data around the clock. Most of us signed the terms and conditions without reading a single line. But someone has to read them. And someone has to write the ones that don't exist yet.

Leonardo Morales is a lawyer specializing in cybersecurity and personal data protection. In this talk, he starts from the ground up: what IoT actually is, why it creates real risks for your privacy, and what legal frameworks already exist to make cybersecurity a tool for protecting your data. This isn't a paranoia talk. It's a reality check. The regulations are already there, and most people designing, building, or using this technology don't know them.

Ivan Castaneda no eligió reinventarse. El mundo lo hizo por él. Cuando el petróleo cayó a seis dólares el barril, una industria entera, y todos los que vivían de ella, se derrumbaron con él. Como ingeniero petrolero, Ivan vio cómo el piso desaparecía silenciosamente bajo sus pies. Lo que vino después no fue un giro de película. Fue miedo, incertidumbre, y aprender a escribir código línea por línea, como quien aprende un idioma nuevo sin maestro y sin red de seguridad.
