What a wonderful discussion! And the food was over the top!!! Thank you Deborah for facilitating such an interesting conversation. The option of changing the meeting time from 1pm to 5pm was raised, I will send out a survey to all regularly attending members to see what everyone wants. But for now this is our time. Any time change would probably start in May or June.
Our next book is The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai. Kamila will be facilitating our discussion. This is a big book so start reading! Please arrive at 1pm for chatting and eating. We will start our discussion at 1:30 and go until 4pm. Afterwards you are welcome and encouraged lol to stay for more eating and chatting. Our potluck lunch is based on the book as always, so Indian it is!!
PLEASE try to avoid cancellations within a few days of our meeting, let alone the day of. You’re taking someone’s spot and that is too late for someone who didn’t think they could attend to rearrange their schedule. Of course people get sick and have emergencies, but please try. This meeting is overfull with a waitlist, so that courtesy is most appreciated.
