ABOUT THIS EVENT
This Event is scheduled with multiple Meetup Groups and on Facebook, so the number of people who have RSVP'd will be more than shown on this group. Join us on Saturday, September 20th @ 6:30 PM to walk around Balboa Island in Newport Beach. This is a flat 3 mile casual moderate paced walk on concrete pavement around the island (see map in photo section of this event). This is considered beginner walk because of the distance and terrain around the Balboa Island, and is dog friendly (on leash). Invite your friends, meet with existing friends and make new friends at this event. After the hike, everyone is welcome to join us to for appetizers, dinner, snacks or drinks at The Village Inn on Balboa Island.EVENT HOST: Albert Lucero 657-296-1119
ABOUT BALBOA ISLAND
Balboa Island is a harborside island community in Newport Beach, accessible to the public via bridge, ferry and several public docks. The community is surrounded by a paved concrete boardwalk open to pedestrian traffic, designated as a public walking trail by the city. Balboa Island's Marine Avenue is home to small local businesses including restaurants, bakeries, gift shops, museum, and local crafts. The island also has a fire station and a post office.

Vehicle parking at the old Union Bank building at the Bayside/ Pavilions Shopping Center - 1090 Bayside Dr, Newport Beach, CA. We will meet at the old Union Bank parking lot, text Albert at 657-296-1119. We will walk over the Marine Ave bridge and around the island.

Everyone who RSVP’s for this event, agrees to read, accept and comply to these Attendance Guidelines listed below. These guidelines are to ensure the safety and security of our members and attendees. It also ensures the integrity of the event by holding everyone accountable to honor their RSVP.
· RSVP's: Everyone who attends an event must RSVP and must be on the “Going” list. If you change your mind about attending this event or not able to attend for whatever reason**, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” or notify the Host via text or Meetup messaging.** Everyone must put the event on your calendar so that you won’t forget.
· NOTIFICATIONS: Updates and confirmations will be sent out, so everyone who RSVP’s for this event must have their Meetup notifications turned on for this group and periodically check their personal email.
· CONFIRMATIONS: Confirmations will be sent to confirm your RSVP. When confirmation is requested, this is to confirm that you will be attending and the host can to submit the attendee final count to the restaurant or venue for the reservation. This ensures that there will be enough seats for everyone. In the past people who have RSVP’d become “No-Shows”. This creates problems with the restaurants and venues because those are seats that could have been provided to other guests. Those who don’t confirm will be moved to “Not Going”, but you can still go to the restaurant or venue BUT NOT sit with the group. “No-Shows” will either be removed from the group, or not be allowed to attend future events.
· ATTENDEE PROFILE PHOTOS & NAMES: We must be able to identify everyone who RSVP's, so you must have a current, clear, unobscured profile photo of yourself. Profile photos must NOT have the following: Sunglasses, Hats, face-covering, scarves, group shots, animals, nature scenes, blurry photos, shirtless photos, provocative or suggestive photos. Your Profile Name must be your real first name (no titles, nicknames, abbreviations, letters, symbols or numbers).
· BEHAVIOR: Everyone is expected to be respectful, considerate, courteous, gracious and maintain sober behavior. Everyone is required to abstain from gossip, discussing any hot topics that would create discord or arguments. This includes arguing or talking negative about politics, wars, race, religion, other people, other Meetup groups, or any kind of negativity. Profanity (cursing, swearing, cussing, obscene language) is also prohibited.
· SEXUAL HARASSMENT/ STALKING: Sexual harassment will not be tolerated. This includes unsolicited physical contact (touching) without the other person’s consent, making suggestive verbal comments, leering, using explicit language, and stalking. Violators will be removed from the group and all crimes will be reported to the police.
· HEALTH: We request that if you’re not feeling well, have any of the following symptoms from Covid, flu, cold, or virus; we respectfully ask that you not attend this event to prevent the possible spread of infection – cough, sniffles, measles, fever, chills, body aches, etc.
